A god run would be something around 1:45 so I'll try to come close. http://www.twitch.tv/tyriounet/c/1974587 Wowowow, well done Tyr! I had thought the WR was nearer 1:42 so I had no idea you were doing so well so quickly! Congratulations man! Have you submitted the time to The Sunday Sequence Break? (email us!) As far as an update for me, I've been in this curious rut. I really want to make another speedrun (be it new, or improving an old one) but I have so many other things I'd rather do. It's really weird but I don't want to work on a run with a lot of other people but I'm not too keen on working on one alone. There also aren't many games that I'm already really familiar with that I could start routing out. Hopefully something will catch soon.

![]() Yes, GTA runs are pretty entertaining to watch and even more fun to play. I'm having a blast just trying new strats and routes in VC. Yeah Flicky, I just sent an email to tssb. :D

![]() I was doing a test run and I uhh broke WR... In game time is 2:24:51 according to the end of the game save file and the old time was 2:25:48. This was my second attempt at a single segment of this game, the first one I messed up immediately and restarted into the record run. I can cut at least four minutes off this time, I'll try and get a good record on Sunday probably as I have a charity event on Saturday. edit: Vod: http://www.twitch.tv/raelcun/c/1978748

Your first run is never optimised and is usually trick light. The first run is also never ever good. No matter what anyone claims, it's always bad. Remember, most games don't have good times, "World Records" are not equal. You can do it if you want to Duka, all it takes is a little time to start with.

Due to the amount of people who have tried it for example or the high level of mechanical skill? Super mario world any% Super mario land Both of them are down to the frame IIRC and will probably not be beaten for a long time. Congrats on the accidental WR Raelcun now go optimise it ![]()

What games would you guys suggest to run with some glitches and technical aspects (Kinda like OoT) Atm i have: A PS3 with FF8/9 on it, a Wii with OoT/MM/Alttp/Twilight princess and SM64 (All NTSC). Of course, i could get hold of games for the GBA etc via emulators...ahem... Maybe one of the other zelda's, but they arent run so much and i want some competition...FF9 is run quite alot by some TLers and others right? Maybe i should try that, but do you need specific version? In short the game is hell. It causes serious damage to your hand if you run it for too long due to how much text mashing there is and the technique you have to use. The run can die at any moment without warning and random encounters make or break the game. Oh and Deathguise can kill the run 9 hours in. If you want to run a Final fantasy run X or 13-2 since those are by far the easiest to run with FF9 and FFX-2 (English new game) being the hardest. FF8 is fairly easy outside Ultimecia and remembering all the triggers just don't expect full runs due to fish fins / cards / world map encounters.

I like glitches and technical stuff, im going to start practicing some OoT child dungeons but OoT is not really the game to be attempting to set records in lol. Maybe an RPG would be good to run, its just learning it and RNG right? Seems simple.. I couldn't find Lost Vikings II, Warcraft I&II, BlackThorne on tasvideos.org.

Honestly pick something you yourself enjoy playing. Dont worry about records and just pick something up you have fun with. Ive been playing Sora's Story in Chain of Memories because I'm insane and like getting screwed by RNG and my stupidity. Do I want the WR sure itd be nice but its not that important to me a good run and trying to improve on my best is more than enough. Going in with the plan of getting a world record is bound for nothing but frustration and failure. Just pick something you like spend 1-2 weeks trying to figure things out yourself like routes/glitches/etc then look at SDA and that after youve got a decent idea for a run in mind and see how other people have been running it. Then just start with simple reasonable goals and slowly head towards something like the world record Edit: Caracarnvi has a good run of FF8 goin on http://www.twitch.tv/caracarnvi/new
