AGDQ post hype TSSB episode.
Flicky offhandedly mentions that he missed the SC2 run (he wasn't even in the building.) PJ tries to bring up that he's one of the major TL guys and Flicky changes the subject. Then Flicky tries to pimp the TL hype to save face and gets the amount of $ raised for Violet wrong.

You should link that episode so everyone can go watch it.

My guess is that 32 mins is with the glitch that lets you skip content and the one around one hour is legit run without glitches.
I just want to make sure that people don't think that the glitched run isn't legit. A glitched run is no less legitimate than a non-glitched run in any game, even LTTP or Link's Awakening. There's still some animosity towards glitches being used in games and thinking that they aren't real speedruns if they're used. Hopefully will only be personal preference soon.
While I agree it's perfectly legit to use glitches (though it can get kind of ridiculous, the difference between a hardcore glitch OOT run and a proper any% run is gigantic), if the game has been patched so that the glitch is no longer possible, I'd say it loses some of that legit status.

I think he was more referring to the fact that that glitch (to my knowledge) isn't possible as of about 2-3 months ago due to patching / content update. So it's just like a different, now-older category, rather than non-legitimate.
Though if you were just speaking in general I agree wholeheartedly lol
personally i hate the change in speedrunning - a few years ago it wasn't about tassing untill every single possible glitch is discovered. Nowaday that seems to be the case, it changes more and more from beating a game skillfull to knowing every glitch. Yeah i know getting a glitch right can be tough but it isn't very interesting to watch.

I disagree, I find the more bugs, skips, etc in a run the more fun it is to watch. This is from the perspective of someone who has only watched, never ran games myself. I love when seeing a run that just obliterates my memory of a game Just my 2c.

To you, but for many it is. The chat during AGDQ was pretty big into the glitches done in most games, I'd argue it was this way for majority. PJ's run on Battle Toads and Double Dragon was easily one of the my favourites during the marathon mostly due to how silly the game would get.
Also I know Quake pretty much started it all back in the days but what other fps games are being run now? I know the biggest games are usually mp only but I wonder if I should dust off Tribes: Vengeance even if for nostalgia trip only.
FPS:s are really not very fun to watch IMO, its too flicky and wierd for me to watch. I like sidescrollers the most probably, since you can enjoy a speedrun without even having seen the game before.
Also thank you to reddititor(s) for timestamping all the runs ! It killed me last time around to wait to see Mayor___Ks amazing Sim City / Maniac mansion run again

It's an interesting dynamic. On some levels I agree with you, but on some I don't. For silly entertainment value, OOT any % is pretty hilarious, but not a run I'd care to watch for "omg teh urnz WR gogo." However, watching TWW is pretty damn entertaining, despite how many huge glitches that are exploited, because they require an insane amount of skill to execute, and aren't so gamebreaking that you instantly win the game, like the OOT glitch.
Conversely, there are some runs that don't really abuse too many gamebreaking glitches, such as SM64, that are insanely fun to watch just because the amount of skill to execute is so high.
I dunno, I just look at it as a "different strokes" sort of thing. There are still plenty of games to watch that are more about skill of execution than massive glitches, so just watch those instead!
A new trick was just found for FFX and I think I will always use it as a prime example of how glitches can ruin a game.
(Skip to 6 minutes in and yes it lasts forever)
That said because it saves a minute and a half I think it is worth not having game sound for the last 5 hours of the run I just feel sorry for anyone who wants to verify FFX.
As for other glitches that don't have horrible side effects it generally depends on how they effect the game. I love puck skip to death in FF9 but I hate super swimming in wind waker.

As someone who I got to spend a bunch of time with at AGDQ, I would recommend Werster's stream to everyone. He knows a obscenely large amount about Pokémon and is great fun to hang out with.

His Super Ghouls'n Ghosts run was pretty hilarious as well.

Wait for FFgamer to finish a run and it'll be crushed
So, this isn't the most optimal way of doing it merely a proof of concept... That being said, I have found a way to break Mark of the Ninja even more. I no longer have to kill Karajan
Round 2 Lance Dragonite ruined Werster's run. Round 2 Elite four in general. He was low on pots going into it, only had Full Restores he could use. Had to do some major shenanigans on one of them, I think Agatha?, before even getting to Lance.
Specifically, Jolly nature on Zapdos gave him very little Special Attack, which translated into Zapdos being unable to 1 shot some critically important pokemon during E4R2.
