There was also one that was like "I don't want to be here either, lets just run as fast as we can".

"And remember, they may have the Moon People on their side, but we have lovely hats. Those hats will shield us from their fearsome gaze! "

The amount of game images/videos available is a bit underwhelming ![]()

Ugh. I can see why I'll hate naval + land battles now. I did one naval fight in Shogun II, failed miserably, and said "Nope, not doing it." I don't have a lot of experience with those battles, I know, but they never appealed to me ever since they announced them for Empire. That campaign map is very reminiscent to me of Civ, by the way.

Try the Shogun 2 demo, if you can't run that well don't expect much from Rome 2. Rome 2 will use an upgraded version of Shogun 2 engine. However they've promised to make the game runable (with low graphics) on low tier specs so maybe we'll be surprised.

Shogun 2 managed to run remarkably well on my poor laptop, which has integrated graphics. Biggest problem for me was the inability to have more than a few hundred soldiers on the battlefield at one time, but the framerate kept up surprisingly well.

I really, really like van Dyck's music, so it's a bummer for me to see he won't be doing the OST for this one. His themes for Rome and Medieval II are aesthetically powerful, and his wife Angela has an astounding voice.

![]() I say "supposed" because it looks like you're Cleopatra's army and you're to defeat the Romans in the screenshot (top-right-hand corner shows objective), but you can still at least select the enemy's units in a group like that? O_o
