You still aren't addressing my point. Idc if there are ways to beat Phoenix-teams. My point is that Dark Phoenix herself is stupidly overpowered. You agree to that yes? Then if we accept that, even if it is VERY HARD to get to her, and there MANY TACTICS to beat her teams, the fact that IF you get to her you are almost guaranteed to win is bad game design. Then you have somebody, like Fchamp, who has figured out how to get to her at least 3/5 games, and you break the game. | ||

The only way DP can be blatantly overpowered is if there are no reliable strategies to beat it. Don't confuse overpowered with being salty or hard. And why are you contradicting yourself? When FChamp played his Phoenix team against Mamespider at the FGTV house, he got to Dark Phoenix and got bodied by Spiderman. Nobody considers Spiderman close to top-tier, yet Spiderman is actually a great character to nullify's DP's advantages (just like Morrigan). Even Vergil isn't close to being broken. He just has a lot of easy good moves and that's why many players are quickly picking him up. But you can see that the good players who dedicate themselves to specific characters are far better than any of these scrubs, and they can beat down other good players with Vergil teams easily. Dormammu is arguably top 5 but there are maybe 2 players in the world who can seamlessly transition from lame play to rushdown. | ||
