I like it and I imagine if I could get immersed in it I would really enjoy it but compared to WoW (which I am insanely bored of) I just don't feel connected to my character, almost like there is a second computer between me and my computer. Just not feeling that immersion at all. I turned off my second monitor and it greatly improved my immersion. I felt this way during beta too and did this. Helped alot

There's a lot of quality stuff that appears up there.

It seems that while I have an easier time reaching 100% with full buff Adv Syn x 4 + Blessing, I reach 80%+ at more consistency using hasty touch. One drawback though that it drags on for quite a while (40+ turn sometimes)

That website so far is the closest to EJ as you can get though it's more of a blog instead of a forums where people can theory-craft. Though the plus side is the dude does all the number crunching for you. Anyway, that link is an incredible read so have a look!

That page feels like a good starting point for theorycrafting, but not for actually changing how you play the game. For example, he says the optimal strength for a tank is ridiculously high (because he's talking about maxing the damage mitigation formula) while pretty much everyone on the FFXIV reddit agrees that tanks should put 100% of their stats into vit since the mitigation is unreliable and only works against physical damage. While it's also nice to be able to calculate exactly how much your average weapon damage is, it doesn't really help you when it comes to rotations and anything like that.

I'm talking like that WoW forum, do not remember the name unfortunately. Was some raid guild which had a forum where you got the absolute best theorycraft, pretty much every single optimal rotation etc was put there. I'm not sure if they still have a good section for FFXIV. But I remember the "go to" forum in FFXI was http://www.bluegartr.com/. It was basicly the equivilent of elitist jerks in the sense that a lot of the top players used to post there.

Honestly FFXIV is much more clear cut than WoW though so not much theorycrafting is actually needed. The game tells you what stats you need exactly and why. Crit as a healer isn't needed because relying on RNG isn't a good way to heal but then again Spell Speed isn't exactly an amazing stat either. But yeah, don't take everything you see there as the way you should play (I know you haven't, but just saying it in general :p). It's a really good starting point is what I was originally trying to state :D.
