Do I need to pre-order for $30? If I do that, won't I be starting a new account and therefore losing my beta character? I want to get early access but don't want to lost my thaumaturge. help TL I played beta, then pre-ordered after beta ended. I can use my beta characters if I want to. They are listed as available, though I've started new characters anyhow. I think the characters are tied to your SE account. I hope that helps ![]()

I was hoping I wouldn't see a stupid post like this, but here it is. 1) This isn't release, it's early access 2) Every MMO in the history of ever has had issues with release. 3) Don't complain on release day if you can't login immediately, they will not, and should not have extra servers just for the first three days of the game. This shit has been happening since MMO's started being made. Why is it a surprise? Why do people still get upset by it? I really don't understand. Shit happens, bugs will always be found, updates will need to be made.

If EA can pull it off, everyone else can too. Developers just need to not be lazy. And no, don't pretend Old Republic didn't have millions of users around the world logging in at the same time, because they did.

There should be tons of extra servers for the first few days, they could rent them for god's sake. I could run a server in my basement. You could easily just merge them after traffic slows down, its not like this isn't predictable to any thinking animal including my dog. Basically, set some standards. Gamers will thank a developer for anything these days, no matter how awful.

I'd like to know from someone who has at least leveled a character to 20 what they think of the combat mechanics, skill diversity and complexity. From what I saw, it didn't look like the game had a complex skill list. I'm not saying I want a messy talent tree like rift, but I hate something like Guildwars 2. I know this isn't GW2 bad just saying. Ye this game has nothing to do with GW2 (played it to max lvl and hated the limited skills and the PVE overall) The first 15 lvls are kind of annoying and some people bitch about them for being like a tutorial but once you got past lvl 15 it becomes so much better. The combat is a little bit like with WoW , with many skills ( and the fact u can choose skills from other classes makes it kinda nice and complex ) and the GCD adds a strategical aspect. I got only lvl 24 so far as pugilist (future monk) and im having a blast cause you need to take care of your placements ( more dmg when behind a target etc) ,refreshing your dots , paying attention to your form ( skills activate differente forms like tiger and it allows combos etc ). Its pretty funny cause I liked the dynamic TERA combat and was scared due to the GCD but im surprised by how good the combat is ( and apparently the GCD lowers as monk once you hit 50 with items or skills cant remember.) Patiently waiting 1h30min more to get to the game hehehehe
