So what do people have to do to become part of the "TL Team"? Besides using Teamspeak, are there any suggestions? Playing with random assholes is getting boring.

Tofu is currently getting a server, but it isn't up yet to my knowledge.

The Randomness of it is what makes it great. Like yesterday Carmon is just grocery shopping starts getting shot at. Then 1 guy runs in boom. Carmon kills him. Another guy runs in boom Carmon kills him.
Im nearby to help carmon loot. Then what!! we start getting fired at by some high end weapons from somewhere. Grenades on the building. Going off nearby. It was fucking Epic!!
Your going to have boring times. Just get over the hanging out in cherno and elektro phase quickly. Get the goods to survive then move up north live a little.
We mostly just get our weapon stocks up and trying to acquire vehicles. Then we could be doing our whatever run and then next thing you know we are being shot at.
Like our epic NW Airfield with 5 dc'ers.
I have great memories playing this game and I am about a month in. Its nothing else like it cause you care about not dying

Just do as the spoiler says. Try and find out where people are or what they're up to and run your ass over there and join in! It's all I did :D. Try and join location appropriate channels if enough people are on so you can meet up and find people with more ease.

I've just had strangest experience so far.
I've spawned in Kamenka, and decided to go for the first time to Belota airfield, on TL server, it's dark with new patch. I mean really dark, stars are visible but most things are just black. Horrible.
I've picked up an axe and just went bananas with zombies on my way there, hack hack hack, about 15min later I reach the airfield. I go into ATC, find AK, cool some weapon at least. Then I hear shots, like 400-500m away very high rate of fire, I think m240 or something like that. Bullets fly over my head but in some distance, he was just shooting in my general direction. When I peak I see flare 400m away and again extreme fast bursts. Ok let's kill this guy, he is clearly nuts and has some good weapon. I start sneaking around hangars towards military camp with deer stands. I lose him because it's sooo dark. I hear nothing, see just a flare on the ground ok, he left. I loot industrial complex and then flare lands next to me, from behind the wall, and again shots into the air. WTF. I go stealth mode and peak around, he runs past the building on the other side, caring flares and shooting. Wtf... I slowly chase him as he clearly doesn't know I am here. He vanished behind ATC (it's griefed so he must use the ladder on the other side). Short bursts into the sky all the time btw. When I slowly reach ATC I hear flies and I see a body, with a flare on it. Hmm he must have killed the guy and went up. I skip him and do a sweep of ATC. Nothing. I've decided it's safe and went for the body and there I see M4A1 CCO with 6 stanag mags, all with 4-5 bullets left, M9 SD, some SD mags for M4, all tools, Alice pack, food, drinks, meds etc. Whole shebang just without NVG and GPS. That was the guy, M4A1 has crazy rate of fire and that's what I've heard and mistook it for M240. Seriously wtf.... Did he hit respawn by mistake? Was he a hacker that was on the server before? Did hacker kill him? Wtf?

Anyone had any issues with the new beta patch? I heard its suppose to make load times faster.

To the guys on TS: do you use a push to talk button or do you let TS autodetect when you are talking? I've been using TS for just a few weeks and I can't find a comfortable push to talk button while trying to play this game - best I've found so far is a side mouse button but it still doesn't feel great.

honestly I use push to talk. I use the alt button. It doesn't interfere with my play even though some of the commands in dayz use alt.

I use a side mouse button on my deathadder and I find it works fine for me, I dont like autodetect personally.

I've always used the keybinds to mute mic, and I've been doing it for years now. I have a default option to auto detect my voice, but I often mute my mic (num 9 in my case). It's great beacuse I can talk however, whenever I want, and if I have to cough or talk to someone IRL, I just press the mute mic and all is fine. TS is great for this because nice lady tells you what is the current state : "Microphone is muted", and if you forget it, it let's you know with a beep when you speak to a muted mic.
