Will be the very first very good Console-MMO.

But just standart PC food. Graphic is old hero engine i believe. Nothing special. Can´t even say that anything is really "bad". It´s quite polished standart 0815 MMO food. Just dull and boring and empty and not epic lol. PVP can be quite funny though. Then again the combat system itself makes no sense if that makes any sense O____o

Did i said it will be a good console port game? Those 5 quickbuttons Uhmm...

Same here. I waited until midnight to try it, played it for like 1 hour, got bored and went to bed. I never started it up again.

While I'll gladly take the next single player installment of TES, I'll also gladly skip this one.

It was interesting for sure, but I somehow can't find it compelling as a MMO title. I might give it a shot if there are reports of the story being somewhat worthwhile and if you can play all the content alone.

Funny thing that I instantly found myself trying to pick up and loot everything, I was even confused that you couldn't at first, since it just feels like the previous titles.

Blocking in this game which is active is really necessary. Fighting just a normal mob you will get stunned and pummeled to the ground if he lands a hit on you. But if you block it, he will get stunned. Also some mobs with shields and when they block u will get stunned as well. And you can roll away from attacks like GW2.

Or you run in circles around the enemy while he turns too slow and hit him from behind by mashing the auto attack. Like in gw2, too. He will only be able to set maybe 1/3 of the attacks if you are alone. 0 if you with another person. Very effective and you can DPS the whole time because you don't need to dodge/block. And also extremly boring but that's what you get from active combat. Moving should only be allowed for a handful of skills. Otherwise you have no incentive to not run, no dicision-making there.
It's pretty much the same approach you can take in skyrim against melee enemies with melee. Kite them backwards outranging them with a two-hander and they will never hit you, lol.

Yeah, combat becomes ridiculously floaty when you can attack and move at the same time. There's no feeling of impact, or tactics. You just run and jump around like an idiot.

Its not like you cant make fight have more sense than that. The problem is when the enemy just stands in one place or follows you like an idiot. If he backs away a bit, parries etc. you wouldnt be able to just run around him and and attack. This is not in any way a problem of "being able to move and attacking at the same time" but a problem of dumb AI.

Technology-wise, I really like it. The graphics and controls are good. However I can't bear the same old tread mill mmo routine again. I wish they had made it more open-ended like the 'actual' elder scrolls. This game is much more linear than even WoW is these days.

What is the point of it being an MMO if there is no actual interaction with other people. All I did was flick some switches, collected some meaningless objects and returned them to npcs. But hey this is what people want I guess.
I don't particularly like you.

So much bashing?

I played for a couple of hours up to level 5 and had a good time. I've done the intro "prison hell" area, and (I believe) most of the first island (starting as a dark elf). The world is beautiful and the visual style is mature, which I like. The character creation was pretty good, and I was particularly pleased the female characters are dressed in something appropriate for adventuring, instead of something only appropriate for a brothel, or an anime convention.

I like that all the quests are voice-acted, and it makes the quests feel much more interesting and compelling to undertake; I've played hundreds of hours of WoW and now find text-only quest system incredibly dull. My urge to quicksave on multiple occasions indicates that the game clearly felt closer to a single-player RPG than an MMO. It also seems you can go up to any bookcase and be rewarded with lore, and there's even a book section in the GUI just for lore stuff. The world looked and felt like Skyrim, but I'd be able to play with friends.

I can't speak for all combat, but I made a mage/wizard/whatever-it's-called and had a good time. I grabbed a frost staff from the intro area, and picked up the first spell of each skill line, and the abilities felt solid enough. I haven't tried melee or pvp or anything like that yet, but everything seemed pretty good so far.

I feel kinda dissapointed by how the game is designed. It's not a TES game, it's just a generic MMO with the TES name strapped on.

Graphics are "ok-ish", I mean they are good but at the same time I felt a bit alienated from the rest of the TES games. I 've played both Dark Elf and High Elf, prefered the Dunmer line.

Quests are way too boring and repetitive (WoW vanilla which is the last MMO I played had better/ more interesting quests) and we didn't even need to party at least I didn't got a party up to level 7 (I stopped at level 7 with each character).

Combat is clunky, needs some rework. Skills / abilities are good to go on one hand, but on the other hand they are outside of the TES logic.

Sounds pretty sick.

Do you like the skill system so far? And do you 'notice' level ups as in noticing to get stronger?
Also, what does GUI mean? G____ User Interface?

If anyone has a key to spare, please PM me, I'd absolutely appreciate it!

GUI = Graphic User Interface.

The combat skill system is fine. The gathering/NPC interaction stuff needing skill points is really annoying. Like I should be able to have a basic roll for intimidate/persuasion without having to dump 2 skill points into them. Same with being able to more accurately find gathering materials in the overworld. Skill points seem really scarce given that you need them for almost everything, and having to use them for roleplaying purposes is a real bummer.

Not sure why everyone is complaining about spamming auto attack. You spam auto attack until you get to about level 5 because you have no abilities. After that combat is about managing your mana and stamina use, auto attack is a waste of time. I wasn't even left clicking at all after I hit level 5 because I was using abilities or occasionally focused on blocking/dodging. My complaints are that dodging attacks is too easy for most mobs and for others it is too hard to time blocks. It makes it so that dodging is always the better strategy. Also just the fact that theres only 5 ability slots pisses me off because its clearly meant for controllers. I'm not holding my breath but if they can tie movement while in combat to stamina use it will feel better. Not having tab targeting is a blessing imo, and it felt quite a bit more responsive in terms of lag than the last beta.

The quests are standard MMO quests with "Elder Scrolls" flavor, but the voice acting does help with immersion. Also I don't think I found a single quests where it was "go here and kill 5 spiders", they were at least a bit more inventive than that. Some quests present the player with moral dilemmas which is fun although they don't seem to have much consequence outside of what reward you are given for completion. Also, I'd like to point out that there are hidden quests scattered about and items lying around that point you in their direction (these were not present in the last beta afaik).

There is lore scattered about that grants profession points (Again, this is new to this beta) and there are special/elite monsters to find. Skilling up and getting new abilities and gear is the primary driver of getting your character stronger. Each ability can be upgraded from it's initial form into something more useful. There are so many combinations I feel like there must be some OP builds to be discovered. I tried to get some crafting done but couldn't find many recipes. Bottom line I am still not ready to give up on this game, if the combat can somehow get better (I think they should tie movement while in combat to stamina drain) it will be very fun for a few playthroughs at least.

For skill points, you need to explore and find those crystal things. Seems every 3 you find gives you an extra skill. So if you want to get crafting up and have a ton of ability choices, you'll need to explore everywhere.

I must admit, this wasnt as abysmal as people online are making it out to be, but it certainly didn't knock my socks off either. Overall I found it all pretty lackluster over the 2 days , although that's obviously an unfair amount of time to judge an MMO. I haven't completely buried it yet like it seems a lot have.
