I dont know if ill continue to play for now, because it seems kind of pointless. The only thing left to go for is murder and then senselessly go around and kill people. Edit: what is it with betas anyway lately. Bf3 beta was a fucking joke that contained 1 map 1 mode. And now d3 has had a single mainquest for what, 6 months of beta now? Dota2 at least had more than 50% of the content when the beta started! | ||

Right now the only thing to do is mindlessly grind curios all day trying to get murder and then go on a rampage. There's really no incentive to do much else. I made the mistake of putting all my effort into leatherworking only to find none of the armor is in the game yet. Then there are no chicken coops or animals to tame, no boats to go fishing, hunting, or exploring (and hunting SUCKS on foot since one kill fills your entire inventory), etc. Overall I'm really looking forward to this at release but it's far, far, far from a complete product right now and really should still be in internal testing to add features. I'll probably just grind up murder and then turn into a serial killer until someone stops me, then call it quits until retail. | ||

Use coal as fuel, smelt ore into bars. Use lime to increase the chance you get iron bars. Coal comes from Coal Camps, which you can make when you have the Coaling skill. It takes 20 wood logs to make a camp, you must then light it and after 3 irl days you get 50 coal. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/FnPcg.jpg) Smoke comes out when it is lit, as is shown on the left, the coal you get after 3 days on the right. Ore comes from a mine, which you can enter with a Mining Entrance. To locate an ore vein, you must equip your woo-woo-wand or dowsing rods and activate prospecting. You will get an arrow on your head and you must follow the general direction it shows until you come across an ore vein (looks like the inside of a stone cut in half). When you have a mine, you must warm the walls with a fire. The fire must be touching the wall, and will warm walls in a 3x3 area. After a while the walls will crack, allowing you to mine them. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Rv18n.jpg) If you have the Mining skill, you can right click the cracked wall and mine it. You will receive an ore chunk that you carry on your back (like when digging), you can put down the chunk anywhere, right click it and mine ore from it (like with a stone). Make sure to carry enough ore chunks to the smelter so we always have enough. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/3md2x.jpg) If you want to help out: -Gather lime and put them in the boxes/baskets below the leanto. -Check if the coal/ore chests have enough in it and/or fill them up. -Light Piles of Wood next to uncracked walls in the mine. -Mine the cracked walls (if you have Mining). -Bring ore chunks from the Mine to the Smelter. -Build more Coal Camps (takes 20 wood logs and need to be lit) -Empty the Smelter when there is no smoke coming out of the top -Fill up the Smelter with 6 Lime & 10 Ore, or just 16 Ore if we are out of Lime. Right click in 15 Coal until the fuel bar is full. When both of these are done, click on the start button. PS the Mine is 1 min walk directly West of the town. Edit: The by-product of this process is Dross. If an ore doesn't turn into an iron bar, it becomes Dross. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/VGQkt.jpg) Dross so far can be used for 2 things: 1. There's only a couple conditions: I'm going to take the account back when the real game starts. I might log in once in a while just to see how everyone is doing. Don't post on the forums please >_< Otherwise I'd be happy to let someone else use my account; I have finals and I can't spend much time playing salem at all. Might as well let someone else enjoy the game. | ||
