Stall v. Stall usually ends up with somebody getting decked. 6hp makes a stall more effective against a nonstall however.

6HP is a lot, but in future ladders, the DP limit is going to keep increasing, and more characters (including 1DP ones) will continue being released, to the point where even the best Wedding characters (aside from Clarice I suppose) will be competitively obsolete. You get them because you like them, not because you want to be a PVP master.
And again, nobody's playing stuff like Wedding Dress Sita where the ability is weak...Rosa/Clarice actually have decent abilities on their own. It's not accurate to say Wedding characters are the best characters in the game when only two of them see play.

Its a 20% increase in health that takes about 19 LESS points for a deck. This gives you much more room to put in other powerful cards.
19 points can replace one of your 1 point followers or spells for a 13 point rare and still have room to work with.

In this ladder round they were incredibly important, as in it was one of the sole reasons that sharp won
They may/probably become less useful later on, but yes 6 hp is a BIG difference, i lose ALOT of my games by <6hp
Though, other characters change this completely (for example, lignig etc)

You need to stop saying "they" as if you are including all wedding characters, it's confusing the newer players. Clarice and Rosa, those are the two viable ones, maybe Vernika in some universe. It's not that wedding characters are overpowered, it's that there are specifically a couple of decent ones that work in certain decks.

Hmm, which faction has the most efficient followers, would it be crux?
|
how do you deal with turn 1 vampiric rites? I am beginner crux btw
|
When I first started as Darklore Vampiric Rites, a single Pintail would wreck me with bad RNG. All the size one guys would attack for zero damage and just buff it to an unstoppable level while they played like 3 buff spells and one-shot me.
Low dp decks won't have much removal to deal with it either.

thanks, What are some interesting uses of conversion? I couldn't find cards in crux that combo well with it.

This is very entertaining and fun to play. Easy to learn and not hard to play. My IGN is ForgiveSins and faction is Darklore

Cannbalise everything like i did to make a bunch of d-rares :D
Well, if you wanna play crux in pvp, GL2U. I think crux is still the weakest in PVP (in terms of cards used) Crux has some great swarm followers (which you won't have made) but that's it so it's good D-rare fodder
Unless you wanna make the wedding dress size deck, most decks atm are using the 33pters from ep5 (because they are imbalanced as fuck) so crafting all of them would be good. Get nold, gart, cinia, iri and sita. Imho, in general you can run all of them (except cinia, and even then you can still run her if you are partial acad) in any deck. Sigma and vernika are cool too, but they are too faction specific
If you wanna hardcore pvp, well you gotta work out exactly what you wanna make beforehand tbh. Then you realise it comes out shit and you gotta make a ton of new cards on top of that :o
It took me like, 60-70 games just to work out a decent deck and even then i can only win like 70% of games with it, whereas you need like 80-90% to win ladder so bleh. Right now i can make a deck which i think would come close to the top 10-20 but still not even get that last push.
I'd really suggest the 33pters in ep5 though, aswell as the 13pters, they are all imba.
Personally i'm planning on running hybrid every ladder (either academy or vita character) so what i make doesn't matter i just need to make the good things
|
I've adopted the idea of a hybrid pvp deck myself. There are actually quite a few obscure hybrid cards that are insanely powerful for 1 dp. The main problem with crux pvp is really just their lack of decent low dp cards compared to all the other factions. All their answer cards are really high dp.
The 33 dp followers in ep 5 are absolutely necessary for pvp. I throw in Sita even when playing a crux deck. A buffed Sita will execute at least 5 followers, given sufficient fodder/protection. Nold is a kidnapper. Gart is a really strong follower for the dp. Iri is also extremely strong as a follower.
|
Okay. So I can cannibalize my medic knight for a fleta (I'm like 70% of the way to fleta if I use my medic knight). I have ep5 iri, but I wanted to turn her into a d-rare, since my deck is still pretty kana centric. I'm also 80% of the way to nemesis luthica.
I'm soooooo low on swords :/
I'm thinking I should get fleta first?
Also, what is the best way to utilize something like ep5 sita? It seems like she is ineffective unless you can get her some atk buffs, but only meadow leisure, iirc, gives cross-faction buffs in a crux deck.
|
Fleta is great because you can turn her into asmis, the most op follower in the game :D
Sita is good on her own, shes a 11/1/7 for 3 size, that's nothing to laugh at
|
Sita has an absurd amount of damage, it's just not apparent from first glance. She deals 7(+4 penetrating) damage, starts off with 1 defense, and will gain 2 stamina on her first attack, which is effectively 11/1/10 on a size 3.
|
what would be the biggest difference between a PvP vs PvE deck?
|
Are we talking about PvE or PvP? In PvE you aren't going to snowball a Sita as hard as Luthica in a pure crux deck. In PvP you only need 1 buff of anything to turn Sita into a monster. But even then you'd have to be pretty lucky to have her last 3+ turns. If I don't think I can kill an ep 5 rare in 2 turns I'll clear the board with Fatal Blow.
The best advice for PvP is to just play and try stuff to see what you like. The ladder was interesting to experiment since I wasn't going to make it in top 100. But "what kind of deck should I make" is really broad. Above all, make a deck you enjoy playing .
Also I'd like to comment on how ladder without an ELO rating is silly. The margin between first place and 20th place seems really close to me. But I guess it's thematically apropriate with an RNG style game like this.
