So apparently Cheetah speed, which has existed since forever was disabled...

“Because of the way Glassbox was designed, simulation data had to go through a different pathway. The game would regularly pass updates to the server, and then the server would stick those messages in a huge queue along with the messages from everyone else playing. The server pulls messages off the queue, farms them out to other servers to be processed and then those servers send you a package of updates back. The amount of time it could take for you to get a server update responding to something you’ve just done in the game could be as long as a few minutes. This is why they disabled Cheetah mode, by the way, to reduce by half the number of updates coming into the queue.”

It's k free game tomorrow. Gonna get it for my console sadly because I don't ever want to use Origin again. Would love to play on my computer though...

I want to like SimCity, and I do enjoy the game. I honestly do. But all of this lying/covering up/whatever is making me dislike it and become a bit upset with them.

Some things really need fixing...
So I build a nice city, but I'm stuck with it, since I cannot get over the 800k I need to make in oil trades to unlock the Commerce Center, so I can built a Trade Port and make some spaces by scrapping all the Trade Depots.

I tried to gather fuel at the depots by setting them to 'use locally' and then export them all in one day. But my wares are just stuck in the depot... nothing is being exported at all. I've had this happen countless times already. I've also had wares vanishing or not arriving at all the the trade port, until I scrapped the whole thing and rebuilt it again.

Something with the whole Import/Export mechanic still seems to bug out at some points ...

I'll try to scrap all the depots one more time and let the wares build up to reach the 800k in one day...
And if I can't export anything again, I guess it's time to abandon the city... again

My largest gripe is that regions don't seem to work with education / work...

There should be an upgrade for emergency service lanes, plenty of them here in NYC. Only real solution is just to lay down a parallel lane.

Here ya go kids, there's two lines of codes you need to make SimCity playable offline.

kNoRepeatNetworkAlertSeconds : 15,
kNetDownForceQuitAfterMinutes : 20,


Note that you cannot save yet, and regional play is disabled. But according to the hacker you need probably 1 hr to code for Save/Reload and the UI button for it. Regional interactions is also apparently ridiculously simple. Look for a full crack in the weeks and months to come

I'm contemplating just giving up on this game for six months or so until this shit is fixed. I make a recycling center and it collapses my entire citie's profit because all of a sudden I can't export any of my oil, playing with friends is a joke because the cities aren't interacting properly, and I just got booted from my damn game with no message what so ever and I'm pretty sure I just lost a lot of work I did. The way they implemented multiplayer in this game is just retarded imo. There were much better options in how they could have done it and it is just lacking in content in general imo.

They need to be phrased i thought sim city 4 used the same coding. So those tools should work.

after so many trials and errors, finally got a thriving city. trade city with horrific traffic did not work. now i got a city with minimal traffic at trading/manufacturing areas, 6 factories pumping out tvs and computers
