Their defense isn't that good, and I think that their offense is overhyped. They haven't played any good defenses yet. Hell, the teams that they have played so far are pretty soft. The Falcons will start playing some real teams after their bye week. I'm going to reserve judgment until then.

SF is so well balanced all around... you got a gr8 run D? fine we'll pass the ball. you got a gr8 pass d? fine we'll run the ball. you got gr8 offense? lol. we gonna steamroll u. they are so well coached as well. the thing I like the best is to watch them play D: whenever a SF guy touches the ballcarrier, play is over. Tackling skillz trough the roof. Must be expensive in that locker room to miss a tackle. the defeat against minny was just what the doctor ordered to reduce the collective ego on that team and send them back to the drawing board angry. 3 pts allowed in the last 2 weeks. pretty darn good.

Kolb could go off against the Bills because they have been horrible, but so has the Cardinal offensive line. Kolb has been sacked 17 times in the past two games if I recall correctly. Kolb can do well if he gets protection. As for Luck, the Jets defense did better than expected against the Texans. Luck and the Colts may be riding a high after coming off a good win against the Packers. Personally, I'd go with Kolb, but that's just my opinion.

It just so happens that I have many thoughts on this, since I just talked with some people about it earlier. Let's explore why the Falcons aren't actually that good. ATL 40 @ KC 24 - Really? They allow KC to score 24 points? I don't think there's much more to be said about this game. KC scored 24 points... how awful is that defense? KC can hardly move against the wind, and they scored 24 points. They beat them by a lot, but no one is questioning how their offense plays against porous defenses. DEN 21 @ ATL 27 - They were gifted this game by Manning and the replacement refs. Remember that fumble that Knowshon had, where the Broncos player walked away from the pile with the ball, but the Falcons somehow got it anyway? The Broncos were poised to score on that drive, and there's your 7 point swing. Not to mention they only managed to put up 27 points when they started on their 40 or better, I believe, four times in that game... IN THE FIRST HALF. There's no reason that Denver was ever in this game, yet there they were. If not for what was probably the worst first quarter of Manning's life, the Broncos win this game. I know I'm a bit biased, but I don't think I'm saying anything that isn't painfully obvious about this game. The Falcons were completely underwhelming to me, in a game that should have been put away at half time. ATL 27 @ SD 3 - Their only convincing win of the season. I won't knock the Chargers for inconsistency, this is a good win. CAR 28 @ ATL 30 - A blown coverage on a hail Mary attempt from the end zone away from losing this. Anyone that says this wasn't a blown coverage doesn't know what they're talking about. There's no reason the safety ever let White go past him... seriously, he should have been cut for that play. Aside from that, what the FUCK are the Panthers doing playing a tight game against the NFL's "elite?" The Panthers suck... there's no reason this was a game. ATL 24 @ WAS 17 - RG3 was killing them, then he got hurt. I think they win this game with RG3 still available, because he probably doesn't throw two interceptions like the backup did. Hard to say how things would have turned out, but this win has an asterisk on it, for me. The Falcons could just as easily be 2-3 as they are 5-0 right now. They remind me a lot of the Packers of last year: a very incomplete team that is having a lot of good breaks go their way. I'm finally being vindicated in my opinion of the Packers, too, since they suck this year, and I said all year long that they were only a third of a team, and were living on good breaks... once the breaks went the other way, it'd be curtains for them. The Falcons are a couple of plays away from being near the bottom of the NFL. For my money, I take Chicago and Minnesota over them, and I think both of those teams have some holes. The Ravens do not belong in the top five, either. They're the same sorry-ass team they've been for a long time, and they'll continue to be a playoff contender, but never quite make it, as long as Flacco is their QB.

Out of all the new power teams this year the vikings are the one thats known for stopping the run and that is the reason why they were able to beat the 49ers. No one is going to actually rank the vikings because of a hard knee jerk reaction everyone would have to thinking that they're going to actually win something. (which they won't) checking the schedule the vikings actualy play the texans in week 16. And they face the card's this next week after the red skins. Those are going to be the bell weather games for the season.

I also think the Texans are better if only because their offense is as good in the air as it is on the ground. The Niners choked away a lot of opportunties on offense. The Texans wouldnt. Their D is also very, very good, even without Cushing. On that note, that stupid shit guard for the Jets better be getting a big fine because that was a dirty as fuck block from the side right to the knee with a helmet.

As for Luck vs Kolb, the problem with Pickspatrick is that he might score more for Arizona than Kolb does. Any half decent defense against the Bills is always a threat to score. Of course, Arizona doesn't have a running game to run out the clock so far.
