The more I read/hear the more it reeks of collusion. Might be a good thing for someone to knock the NFL down a peg or two on their opinion that they can do as they please without consequences.

It'd be nice if they could land a reliable LT as well... any offensive line work would be nice, as long as it's a quality player. Mario Williams is a great wish, but it seems less and less likely to happen. If they can't land him, then they need to look to shore up the CB and Safety positions. They resigned Tim Jennings to a 2-year deal, but I'm not particularly excited over that move. I'd like to see them go for a guy like Carr, or even Aaron Ross. Landry would be nice, if he wasn't hurt all the time. And it looks like the Skins have made some nice moves at WR to give RGIII some weapons when he gets there. They aren't top-tier guys, but I don't believe that you need an actual stud WR, if you can manage to put 3-4 good WR's on a team. Interesting stuff on the first day of the league year.

More importantly, the Skins go Josh Morgan, and Pierre Garcon. I think those are good pick ups. Not tier-1 guys, but still good WR's for, what's assumed to be, and incoming rookie QB.

Getting rid of Marshall for wiggle room to sign Clark/Wayne in addition to Manning?

Depends on the guaranteed money, right? That doesn't come out until a bit later. But superficially, they're nice signings. I have heard that the Redskins have some cap issues though.

And yeah, I still do not get miami at all. The Skins get a good wideout in Morgan. Fast, can stretch the field. Not a #1 though. He's probably a good #2 if given the time. The skins really love their 2nd rate wrs though

Nope, Wayne just agreed to three years with Indy. I hope Mario Williams does things like Reggie White did, and takes a little while to go around the league before signing. I really hope that he doesn't end up in Buffalo. Horrible place.

I have heard that the Redskins have some cap issues though. The Skins had ~35/36 million in cap space before the NFL fined them. So remove 16 million for the moment and that still leaves them somewhere around 20 million. I don't know if its legally allowable, but I could see the Redskins taking the NFL to court over the fine and just spending the extra 16 million while they fight in court.

Wow, hahaha. That's funny. I was very confused by your post. My mistake. On March 14 2012 11:04 BloodNinja wrote: The Skins had ~35/36 million in cap space before the NFL fined them. Yeah, that's such a weird situation. Luckily for them, they are allowed to take the hit over two years. While every other team has 120M cap, the 'Skins have 102M cap this year. But they're still far enough under to make some moves.

That is until someone puts a bounty on him....... (too soon?)

For all you know he may have given up his contacts over the off season since he was so successful last year and you might have full on Carlos Stonehands Rogers coming back.

We were actually 47.6 million under the cap Franchising davis and resigning gano/licht/montgomery brought us to around 41 million NFL fined us 18 million = 23 million for FA I'm pretty sure we are going to fight it though Also Royal is still a FA as of right now... conflicting reports but we still havent signed him
