Edit: Also is there somewhere I can go to voice my displeasure with the replacement refs? Pretty sure pen/paper letters would get the most attention.. (I probably won't be mailing one from EU). NFL Officiating 345 Park Avenue New York, NY 10017 I'm going to try sending a message from http://www.nfl.com/contact-us (other). I've decided that it's also time to go "esports" on the NFL - contact their sponsors. (found a decent list here) Haven't found all the email contacts yet (some are pretty well hidden). For those that might be interested... Let the sponsors know the product they purchased is making them look bad!

I'd never thought i would believe this but i'd rather the NFL have a player lockout then a referee lockout.

User was warned for this post Why did whatever mod warn that dude for posting Goodell's number? It's his publicly listed office number that literally anyone with the internet can find out.

I'm so glad that the Packers lost, can't stand Rogers and all those long haired hippies.

The nfl clearly will not react to anything unless it impacts it's income... Therefore I call on everyone who truly loves football to not watch next week. As long as people are buying tickets and watching games in record numbers nothing will change.

Or the players go on strike. Honestly, it would be the best solution.

I still feel confident that the Packers will make the playoffs and at that point the regular season means nothing. Amen to this. Packers shouldn't have been ahead in the first place. Bad calls were made on both sides, but people will always think that Packers should have won except for the refs because of this very final play.
And also, the missed PI Tate committed at the end was pretty damn bad, but that touchdown pass was much more contested than people are making it out to be. Tate had 2 arms on the ball and 1 of those arms was between the ball and Jennings's chest. It was contested and the tie should go to the passing team.
That being said, we still need the real refs...

Hah, no he didn't. Watch the replay. He literally lets go and then re-positions his arms after Jennings has control of the ball completely. Unless he's a god and somehow can be ruled as having possession of the ball for merely being in close proximity, then it was a bad call. It wasn't close at all, not for a single moment did Tate have anywhere close to 1/2 the possession of the ball.

Not even close to 1/2 the possession? Maybe you should watch the replay too. It was far more contested than everyone is making it out to be, which is understandable. Blow this out of proportion and we might get the real refs.
EDIT: K watched it, saw him reposition his arm. Still a tough call but most likely should have gone to GB

Man that was depressed to see Packers lost a game like that. 2 days with so much dramas with noobish ref.

No, it was an interception. Anyone who has watched football for a decent bit could see that. He clearly had the ball and the receiver only had an arm in there. That is not a 50-50. That was clearly one person in control of it.

The ball was intercepted, the defender went down and then after the play ended Tate wrestled the ball away. Watch it.
|
Yeah that was intercepted, Packers got the ball clearly.
|
It wasn't closely contested at all. Catching a dude that catches a ball doesn't count.

Tate had 1 arm in there and another arm on the outside, but I checked the replay and saw he was readjusting in midair. Jennings had control, but anyone who has a pair of mediocre eyes could see that Tate had 2 hands on the ball

Tate had two hand on the ball just watch the gif posted jenning tries to yank the ball away but couldn't.

Want to know my favorite statistic of Week 3 before Monday? Sixteen of 20 coach's challenges resulted in overturned calls, meaning officials made the wrong decision on 80% of some of the biggest plays. Think about that.
Want to know my second-favorite statistic? When you crunch the numbers, if the NFL gave the locked-out referees everything they wanted, it would cost about $100,000 extra per team per season. That equals about four games' pay for one of a team's lowest-paid players. The owners are watching their sport burn because they won't improve the officials' compensation by about one-fourth the amount they would pay a backup guard? Think about that.
OK, real quick, I've got a third-favorite statistic from last weekend. There were 13 penalty first downs in the game between the Patriots and the Ravens, which is only the most in the history of the NFL. Article from LA Times Online by BILL PLASCHKE
Cracked me up almost as much as the games lol
