As a Chiefs fan I don't see how they're going to compete with a pissed off Saints team that's 0-2. This defense is in shambles and won't be able to hold off Brees passing attack, meaning Draughn will get some garbage-time TD's at the end of the game.

You could pick up two mid-level defenses who play bad teams at different times. This is probably the route I would go if I was in your shoes. So if you grabbed Arizona like you are thinking, you could grab the Seahawks, Charger, or Pats for example. Edit - by limited roster changes does that mean limited movement within the roster as well? Or just waiver pickups / trades? You can move within your own roster as well, it's just waiver pickups and trades that are capped. Our league allows 3 bench spots total, while playing: 3 QB 3 RB 5 WE 2 TE 1 K 1 DEF 4 D (LB/DL) 3 DB (10 teams in the league) Most of the time it's best to use 3 bench spots on offensive players. Currently I have Heath Miller, Pierre Thomas, and Robert Meachem on my bench. The free agent wire is often pretty slim pickings, so I've been hesitant to replace Meachem (not that I have a great WR core to begin with), have no better options really than Thomas, and Miller seems to be a decent TE (I have Witten and Celek starting). I could go two defenses, but would have to drop an offensive player. For those interested, my team is as follows + Show Spoiler + QB: Alex Smith Peyton Manning Sam Bradford RB: Adrian Peterson Chris Johnson Frank Gore WR: Vincent Jackson Reggie Wayne Greg Little Laurent Robinson Mario Manningham TE: Jason Witten Brent Celek K: Rob Bironas DEF: New Orleans IDP: Chad Greenway Von Miller Steven Tulloch Curtis Lofton Ed Reed Patrick Peterson Antoine Bethea Bench: Pierre Thomas Robert Meachem Heath Miller

(probably just due to time zones) I'm going to come out and say it: I hate Thursday night football. What I love about football is that it takes so little of my time actually watching it. It used to be that I could watch whatever game I was interested in on one of two days, and now they've added a third to the mix. I'm not dependent on watching football to have fun, so really, TNF just gets in the way of my football pleasure. Watching football is something I spent Sundays doing, and it was a good way to get past the shittiness that usually is Monday. I always felt that the reason the NFL had such incredible success over other sports is that people only had to tune in one day a week to watch their favorite team, and catch up on the rest of the league. This is screwing that up for me. And most TNF games suck anyway since the teams aren't appropriately prepared for their match up. It's mostly very vanilla game plans in comparison to the rest of the week.

I still hate their announcers, and if the nhl wasnt in a lockout id probalby pass because most of those games suck also rip sean lee ![]() still think this was clean, with the principal point of contact being dead center in the chest below the shoulders, with the follow through being into the head because it is two dudes going the complete opposite way

He added Ramses Barden, and then dropped him to add James Jones. He then re added Ramses Barden at 8pm before the game and played him. I thought that once you drop a player they are put on waivers. But how did he re add a player that he dropped in the same day? Here is the screenshot and tell me if I am stupid or not haha. ![]()

Once waivers come off on wednesday morning or whatever, you can add and drop the same player 50 times if you want to, up until that first game. Obviously this can change from league to league, but that's probably what you're dealing with.

But the standard for ESPN and Yahoo is that once a player is dropped from a team or they hit the waiver wire for 2/3 days. So I drop someone on Tuesday no one (including myself) can add them until Thursday or Friday. Then the waiver order is used to assign priority on who gets first shot at taking the player. I personally would be a little wary of any league that allows for instant drops and additions without using a waiver process. Seems like an easy way for two teams to conspire and stack one team with good players.

My guess is that the commissioner voided the original transaction. Since the transactions in question involve the same players. There could be a legitimate reason for this, but it does seem a bit fishy. I cannot recall a time where a commissioner has ever voided a waiver pickup for any reason in any of the leagues I have even been in. Then again it could be an innocent act as well, it just looks strange to see.

My guess is that the guy changed his mind and called the commissioner because they are close friends and had him cancel the original transaction. That is totally unfair. So what he changed his mind, its tough luck. Well I hope you didn't have money on the line in that league then.

Even if it's not a money league its still annoying to have the integrity of the league assaulted.
