I'm not sold on Claiborne, though. Cruz had him and Carr beat most of the night, he just dropped the passes.

The guy showed last year he has horrible hands, and showed that again tonight. I think Cruz is terribly overrated, and I'm glad he proved me correct tonight. I think the Gmen are going to miss the reliability of Manningham, especially with how well Claiborne covered Nicks and Asomugha to cover Hakeem as well. Might be tough for the Giants this year I was obnoxiously yelling this all night at the giants bar i was at. So many of his TDs seemed to be lucky plays. He's by no means bad, but Nicks is lightyears better than him.

Reread the sentence -- he was saying the Cowboys got a new cover corner to cover (Hakeem) Nicks, then pointed out the eagles have Asomugha to cover Hakeem (Nicks). He's pointing out the competition in the division have the talent to cover him. I'm not sold on Claiborne, though. Cruz had him and Carr beat most of the night, he just dropped the passes. Lol didn't see what GTR said before his edit, oh well. Yeah, Claiborne didn't totally lock down his side, but given that was his first game I was fairly impressed. There were a few plays last night (especially when he was in press coverage) where I felt like he showed glimpses of serious skill. A couple times he let them get a step knowing he had safety coverage (almost like he was playing for the INT opportunity) which I think was more a sign of his inexperience (in college, QBs will miss that small window along the sideline infront of the safety). I think the guys going to be a stud. I'm not a huge cowboys fan, but it seems like having Carr/Claiborne on the corners is going to help Rob Ryan do a lot more with that defense. On the flip side, the Giants secondary looks ravaged and in serious trouble going forward. Playing your 5/6th corners is never ideal so they weren't at full strength, but even their safeties were playing pretty poorly and weren't inspiring confidence. Also, JPP is a beast.

I would definitely play Fred Jackson over Manningham and/or Moss, even if CJ Spiller does eat into Jackson's numbers this year. Crabtree is thus far the only 49er WR I would trust in my line-up, until you see a decent game from Manningham. Your second team is too beastly, that it has to be an 8 man league I would think. If DMC stays healthy and the Giants can give Ahmad more to work with (because it looked bad last night), that'll be a monster team.

Everyone pretty much went QB and TE crazy in the second teams league so I had a nice time picking up the rest. And thanks for the advice on Fred Jackson. The flex spot is one of the things I don't really grasp.

I picked early for rodgers and people just derped picking Brady, Brees, Hernandez, Gronkowski; megatron etc before McCoy. Kinda wished it was a keeper league haha

I'd appriciate your help, I still don't really grasp fantasy football yet. Your wide receivers on team 1 are pretty weak imo. Jennings should produce decently, but Manningham not so much. The 49ers are still likely going to be a run first team, and as of now Moss got the starting job opposite Crabtree over Manningham. Brandon Jacobs isn't a great get either. He'll get some work, but Gore is still their go to guy. Not to mention in a PPR league Jacobs is even less valuable. I'd get rid of him for a wide receiver, and probably look to move hightower as well. Hang on to Manningham to see if the Moss experiment works out, but I'd look to get a better WR to take your #2 spot, and have Manningham as your reserve WR. On Team 2 I'd play Steve Johnson over Antonio Brown, he's the Bills' best target, and was pretty productive last year.

Webster at times is solid, he can be good man to man, but he's inconsistent. With Prince injured and TT injured, I just hope our secondary doesn't get blown up too bad.

Our O line has 0 push and Diehl's prime is way gone. Giants really need to draft a stud O linemen. it's a real concern.
