I doubt I will play Skyrim until the second half of next year after patches and mods are there. I don't get the fun vibe from it, epic sure, fun, doesn't seem that way to me.

when this thread started i played skyrim only 2h was skeptic and said witcher2 is better, but now im 30h+ in game and i have to say this game rules and brings morrowind memories with alot of improvements (the leveling system in morrowind was pissing me off i hate playing flawed chars and it was close to impossible to get 5x multipliers unless u spent fortune on trainers and used tricks), i understand skyrim is so huge and its impossible to not make mistakes but if they fixed some bugs, added spell creating,made separate GUI for pc users and fixed few skill balance issues(i belive in modders+dlc!) this game would win no contest, definitely one of the most epic games i've ever played i love open world and being free to do w/e i want, bethesda really did good job, im happy that so many people who never heard about TES before felt in love in this game which definitely deserves the attention it has now.

I'd have to give my vote to Skyrim, nothing else really comes close for me this year. Shogun 2, while still a pretty good game, was a huge letdown for me because my expectations were so high. It still doesn't compare to Skyrim though.

I'd say Skyrim as the game was designed and intended. However, with all the bugs and the most recent patch not even allowing me to play without the game crashing to desktop with no error messages (highly annoying), I think Uncharted 3 won my votes on all the sites.
