Thats easily a new engine. On September 12 2012 03:24 Zero.Tha.Hero wrote: I've been running my Gaussapault with a single Gauss and four medium lasers. I find one Gauss to be suffecient in laying down steady damage on priority targets, while having the medium lasers gives me a more viable option for dealing with annoying light mechs that sneak past my metal meatsheild of heavier allies :D Thats the wrong way to build a gausspult btw. My gausspult only strips off armor from the arms just to fit in 1 more ton of ammo. It runs at 52kph with 110ammo. however i cant run that build without the insane cost nowadays. you dont even break even from a win. Thinking is it possible to fit in the smallest possible Standard engine and still carry 2 gauss? hmm. I shall test that later when im home

Then you'll have enough MC left to buy whatever you want and the cbills to buy its equipment. Now the repairs...yeah those are pretty stupid right now.

Use the arrow keys to highlight different weapons/control groups. Up/down for each weapon, left/right for group number. Then use Right Ctrl to add/remove the highlighted weapon from the highlighted control group. Kinda confusing to explain but it'll make sense when you try it.

Firing all your weapons at once because no control groups is harsh. ![]() Set up your weapon groups with RIGHT(yes RIGHT) CTRL and the keypad buttons. Only need do it once for each mech that you has, will recall back your settings. As to what to buy, i totally enjoyed my brawler Atlas. I run Atlas D-DX, 300STD engine with max armor. Weapons are 2x Med Laser, 2x SRM6 with 300ammo, 1x AC20 with 42 shots & AMS with 1ton of AMS ammo. I bind Lasers to 1 group, SRMs & AC20 to another. This build excells in close range combat where you can land your AC20s easily. SRM6s too. This build runs cool unless your using med lasers everytime it comes off CD. The most fun part of this build is the AC20 huge damage and 2x SRM6s. I have NEVER walked out of a game without a single kill. puts the brawler in Brawler Atlas. I love having huge bursts of DPS, i KNOW that everytime i press my right click(group 2), the target is going to cry. 1shotting jennys & commandos easy. Now with the critical systems in place, i've killed 4mechs solo inside the ice tunnel. Blasted a atlas to death, lucky headshot critical with my AC20 to another atlas, and trashed up a catapult & hunchback. Trick is to get them to land their shots on my arms(which only has med laser, nothing biggie to lose those) in order to protect my core....and blast them all with 2x SRM6 and AC20s. You can try my build ![]()

I shall test that later when im home I rejigged my Gaussapault build removing all of the heatsinks and arm armor, went down to a STD195 (i think?) engine. Carrying 2 Gauss with 80 rounds (40 volleys), top speed a laughable 45~47kph. Truly a sitting duck to fast brawlers, but the damage output on this build is utterly rediculous. Most rounds in which I survive to the end of the match, my total damage output is often the highest in the list, often by a factor of 2 or greater, regardless of killcount. I even had one round with 0 kills, 6 assists, and 1150 damage dealt... next highest damage in the match was ~460 :D

Also, OP should add a list of TL mech pilots looking for group games.

The side torsos on a catapult never really die anyways, and even if they did you have your gauss rifles there which would probably blow up and kill you. CASE won't help either given that its the rifles and not the ammo exploding. Sorry not to be rude or anything, but i wonder who and what are you talking to/about? We were discussing on how to outfit without a XL engine due to the insane repair cost that you dont even break even from a win... Anyway 195engine is pretty decent?47+ kph is great. Lets you keep up with ur atlas brawler metal meat shields easily, i hesitate to strip all my arm armor tho. i have mastered on how to absorb damage onto the arms of my mechs already,my arms have saved me plenty of times already from a core shot.

Defensive strats seem to work well with the teams I've been on though Pushing with the most force to force alpha situations works well too. I got anhilated on the frost map when the other team was bout 5 guass catapults sitting on the hill. Even with the city cover, it's hard engaging with them up close as the guass just shreds you like nothing else. The trick would have been getting my pug to go for the cap and try and pull them apart but even then they were really damn strong. On a side note, maybe goofy but 4 x sr6 awesome is a ton of fun in close quarters. These atlases feel really confident but after 2 volleys... o.O. Probably a waste of an awesome but it's fun.
