If you think you deserve their chests, you need to work more for them. You need to bring them to a negative power and claim the land. If this proves too difficult then that is too bad. If one death gave you the ability to loot their chests then it would be pointless trying to collect any loot at all because it would be far too easy. You clearly did not have a strong victory over them or else you would have killed them several times and brought them into negatives (this if anything ought to be your argument that the maximum power is too high or when you die you lose too little power, but through countless other raids and battles of experience I have come to believe that at the moment the power capacity may be a little too high, but as it is this is more balanced than any previous round and it is still EXTREMELY viable to kill a few people and loot them). You are not using the current mechanics correctly, you need to kill them once and push them into a corner (or chase them down from the graveyard/wait for them to log back in if they are being cowards) and kill them again and again. As it is, power regen is painfully slow and allows you to kill them a few times over the course of an hour and easily bring them to negative power, then you proceed to claim their land and loot it. If you do not bring them to the negative power, you do not deserve their loot. tl;dr.. Your argument is that it is too hard (not carebear enough) while the server admins are aiming for a fair balance between being able to defend yourself and loot versus being able to kill others and take their loot. Currently it is for the most part quite balanced and you are just QQing over nothing (except them possibly being cowards which may be your opinion). So man up and kill them more and earn your loot like they and every other successful faction has.
It is not balanced. Offline players provide too much power, they should very slowly lose power until they are at 0 from the moment they log out. This way if we sit in their base for a few hours then we can claim their land if they do not win it back. It would force defeated factions to negotiate a price for having their land back in exchange for the time of the raiding factions. Or alternatively, give defeated factions ample time to rally their forces to win back their land.
Players in PvP free zones should also lose their power as if logged out. Or at least not regenerate it. At least this is how I feel!

Oh yeah me either.

Were not asking for fair. Were asking you to stop complaining about fairness unless you actually want things to be fair :D

SandPeople successfully built their road to spawn to day with the help of SacredCorp and some supplies from ganked and IG. Im very happy with it and the port we set up :D

You are not considering the opposite which is why you can't see how this is pretty balanced.
Imagine 10 people who have lives and jobs and will have to log out eventually for sleep and work, what you want is to remove their power over a few hours while those of us who sleep and work are gone for 14+ hours at the LEAST. If people can't safely log out for 14 hours at a time without risking their land then it is unfair.
Also there is already a power loss for inactive players but it only occurs after 24 hours of being offline, it is stupid to expect people to stay online for the majority of a day so there is -no- way of deterring players from logging out to save themselves except by punishing those that stay logged in and camping those that log out. It is what it is and its as balanced as it will get with the current parameters.

We all know the power system isn't without it's flaws. But that's not why you in THO/TGP/Exodites/XYZ got mad. You got mad because we logged off. That I could understand if we had logged off before we died, and thus saving our current gear. That's not what happened. We were 5 people online, and atleast 4 of us died when you first stormed our base.
From there, we had two possibilites, either try to chase you out of the base or give it up for the time being. Seeing as we were 4 unarmed persons, against about 15 fully armed, we figured we had no chance, so we logged of. Us logging off didn't change anything, we were still at 70 power with about 10 land, so even if we had stayed online, we could just have hidden in spawn without any problem.

I suggest we all formed two huge alliances, the side of the light, and the side of the dark.

OK good to know.
Did everyone get kicked out at the same time??? When I got lagged out, I just died and my items are scattered.... now it's being a while and I have probably just lost everything.
Sigh.

Yeah the system is why I am upset. It rewards logging out or hiding in spawn. It basically means that no one at any point can lose anything unless they are complete fools. If this is the way the factions are meant to be that is fine.

The forces of evil will prevail. I guess at this point I could hardly classify myself as good. Even my allies call me 'the pillager'
Therefore, I second this.

If this is the way the factions are meant to be that is fine. It's perfectly possible to lose stuff. For example, recently Exodites, TeamLegacy, and Mercenary attacked Ganked and SandPeople, and we (Ganked/SandPeople) ambushed them with Ender Pearls and slaughtered all of them, losing only two people and killing around 10. From there the surviving members headed straight to TeamLegacy's base and kept them in negative power, and managed to claim almost all of their chests before calling it a day. Even if we hadn't acquired the chests we would've got 10 swords (mostly diamond, some iron), a few bows and stacks of arrows, several suits of iron armour, some ender pearls, lots of food, and so on and so forth.
You can hardly complain if you raid people while they are almost all offline/afk and can't claim anything as a result.

I wish the server were online... Anyone have an ETA on when it might be back up

Agreed. Why can't more people just accept defeat and just move on. We fought and Ganked was better organized than us so they were able to win the battle and thats the end of the story. We were definitely outplayed and had to pay the price.
I can't stand all the wining because you would do the same thing if you raided someone else.

We lost everything, and we attacked them first lol. You dont see us crying. In fact I popped in their channel to say "good fight".
