brits can't.
For some countries the release date is the 9th instead of the 6th. I know it's the case for UK but i didn't know norway was affected, too.
I love Germany :p (and the game isn't even censored as many people feared - not that blood matters... but, well...)

seems there are several EU countries with a release on the 9th. noone really seems to know why
What keeps it from geting released in all countries on the 6th?
Sadly I'm unsure. Some games get a worldwide release at the same time, some don't. They say it's due to certain regions rules etc. but I don't see it stopping some games.
This method just makes a lot of people unhappy. There are going to be tons of conversation on here from people whom have completed the game and it will suddenly become a no-go zone for anybody in the UK who doesn't want to see spoilers until the 9th. thats from the offical forums

Is the PC-Version playable with Pad ? I really want to enjoy this from my couch. Else I will stick with the 360 version.

guys.. on top of it all.. steam had me download it a second time... it cant merge with the gamersgate version?

Also no night lords in the customization panel wtf. And being a beakie will take about 2 months of grinding... may i ask, wich chapters are in the customisation panel? both for empire and chaos please Except for the night lords you have all the IA chapters plus a few small ones. Obviously no deathwatch. Armor is purely cosmetic, you unlock parts of it by getting kill achievements. There is a DIY paintscheme option in the customizer featuring all GW colors and some heraldry. The areas of the armour which can have their own colour are helmet, left/right shoulderpad, left/right vambrace, left/right legs, breastplate and backpack.
Being a beakie will take foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Wow, finding a game sure takes a while... hope that is because of first day.

That, and most people will probably play singleplayer first before trying multiplayer. I think in a week or so it will be a lot faster.

My single complaint about the game so far is the horrible matchmaking system. I really wish they had gone with a dedicated server/server browser style that has proved itself to be far superior. I really hope they get it sorted out either way though as the one game of multiplayer (and then a few rounds of 1v1) was extremely fun.
Oh and the single player is amazing.

is there a way to trick steam to believe that i am german or something? :/

The servers are pretty terrible. Not only do many people suffer from lag, just now I tried to join a game and was greeted with a "waiting for host" with no possibility to abort or end the game, i had to end it via task manager. Also +1 to Brent352. But still it's a lot of fun. Looking forward to testing the single player in the evening.

I had the same release date bug that DIGGURD had, and i got around it by simply ending the steam process tree, then restarting steam.
Seems fun, but the multiplayer leveling is way to slow... you have to either play as a group (which I would like to do because we are the team liquid community and we should represent) or you end up lucky on servers with little latency and lots of noobs >.<
My first game was a team of lvl1-4s against a team of lvl12-18s... apparently matchmaking has not quite figured out how to deal with parties.......

While that is true, I absolutely hate when I can't get out of a loading screen. Same applies to SC2, when one player crashes during the loading you are in there forever sometimes.

Dangit was waiting for it so bad. i downloaded the demo and it is awesome. in greece it comes out on the 9th after all but some stores may have it tomorrow.

is the multiplayer worth it? i am thinking of waiting a bit for a steam sale but the MP intrigues me. is the MP better than the SP?
|
cant really judge on the MP yet. i spent most of my playtime in the SP so far which is freaking amazing. what i saw from MP seemed good though. a lot of customizable stuff, a level up system like in CoD and Crysis2 and several different game modes. i guess ill spend a lot of time on it when im done with the campain

MP is extremely imbalanced as it's 100% based on level progression. Team autobalance is based on number of people and doesn't consider anything else as a balancing factor. Thunder hammers/demon mauls instagib everyone but devastators with perks.
There are no level brackets, which puts level 1 tactical marines with no perks or anything against level 20+ with everything unlocked to be virtually invincible.

I didn't have the feeling of it being too imbalanced. I played against some level 9-18 guys and didn't see any problems.
MP is a lot of fun but since you can't pick a server manually, lag is depending on luck.
Also: Is there a way to mute ALL voice communication? I know you can mute specific people, but there were people joining all the time with either defective headsets, echo or just talking crap and it was quite annoying. I'd rather have no voice chat at all than that stuff.
EDIT: Just found out, when you click on equipment after you die, you get the equipment of the guy who killed you, no matter what you unlocked. So you can be imba yourself :p
