The ONLY problem with recoil now is that the spraying doesn't seem to reg 100%, it's just... "different" at the moment. Bursting and tapping is fantastic. The AWP is strong. Kinda always has been though, so no big deal there. Not to mention its expensive with only 50+ dollars on kills instead of 300, so you really get punished if you don't perform well or they counter your AWP. you think tapping is fantastic? saw your stream btw, hehe ;E anyway, i dislike tapping right now. the recoil cooldown between the single shots is way higher than 1.6/source, which makes tapping on ranged fights really difficult. it's still cool for middlish ranges though. but bursting is just SO MUCH STRONGER imho. there's hardly any "horizontal spread" for the bursts compared to 1.6, but a lot of vertical spread for tapping, which creates this huge imbalance in favour of bursting. gonna release a video about the state of the recoil very soon. i'll cover so much different stuff. it's gonna be legen... wait for it... btw, please dont get me wrong. i dont just want to copy 1.6 at all, but tapping was always my style of choice, but in GO i play stuff like 8shots bursts on aztec door to door. that's simply ridiculous D: ... but it's better than tapping imho.

Most of my deaths in this game are rooted from my years of experience playing 1.6 where spraying for the multi-kills (or using the m4, which is very spray/burst proficient). It's unfortunate, but I'm open minded about this game, as its still in a beta. I greet the challenge of learning new aiming patterns/scenarios warmly, as I'm a competitive person and I don't expect *anything* handed to me. As far as my general opinion on the game: Maps are *okay*, it's a beta, they're limited. Custom map makers or leagues make the best maps anyways. Whatever. There's still a LOT of garbage clutter on maps that shouldn't be there. If you're gonna add an "_se" tag to maps to show their "competitive worth" then follow through with it. Don't remove some fog sprites, take out all the garbage cans and barrels and bottles. Weapons are *okay*. P90 and Mag-7 ARE STRONG... however I don't think it's purely the weapons that make the imbalances so much as is the fact that you *cannot and shouldn't* spray with the rifles [AK/M4/Famas] right now-- it's not worth it. It's more difficult to land those fast close quarter kills with the standard buy-round rifles. Models are too big, or the maps don't accustom themselves to the player model size. Let's be real, it's dumb as hell that you can't maneuver out of hut window/Hell window on de_nuke, etc. I'll add to this later, my brain just ran empty as I had a few beers and I wanna go play some CS:GO. I hope we can get an active community here. I'll be streaming @ www.twitch.tv/vzamaedi if you wanna talk to me there/ask questions/see ESEA gameplay. I don't care about viewers, I just want people to see the game for what it is and make educated opinions/constructive criticism, if they want to. Edit: ** I do like bursting now. I'm a bit confused on my opinion actually or I'm getting really adjusted to the recoil now. Most of my pugs tonight I bursted/sprayed a lot more than normal to much success. The only thing I can really conclude is that its different. It's hard to be a good judge on this based on the recoil reflexes I've honed over many years of 1.6.

My biggest gripe is actually the player model sizes. They're simply too big in relation to how small and constricting the maps are (quite similar to source in this regard). It makes aiming less skillful and it feels like you can't completely dominate everyone based off pure skill like you could in 1.6. I'll admit that this may just be because I'm new to GO, but like I said I had this same problem with Source and I never got used to it. The second biggest problem I have is the recoil and just the gun feel in general. Headshots can feel highly random. Often times I will score a headshot when I'm not particularly trying for it. Spraying, quite frankly, doesn't feel even remotely correct and there seems to be some gun imbalances but that's not something I'm terribly worried about tbh (I mean everyone will end up using the same few guns anyways lol). Other than those 2 issues, I actually quite like the beta so far. The graphics look great, the player run speed feels great, the new crosshairs look good. Oh yeah, the headshot animation from 1.6 is still >>>>>>>>>> every other fps ever made. I don't know what it was about it, but I still have yet to play a game that has as satisfying of a headshot kill than 1.6. It could have been that scoring a headshot generally took more skill than most games, but there was just something awesome about the death animation.

Anyways I am quite excited to get it, as I have been a huge CS fan forever. Started playing in beta 4 when defuse maps were introduced. Maybe other people got beta access recently as well. Worth checking.
