I used to play CS semi competitively in 1.6 some 7 years ago back in high school but rarely played since I stopped. Is there anything drastically different from 1.6?

![]() Also, major differences.. you probably don't want to spray. If you want to feel good about yourself and don't have a conscience, just buy the p90 and the Mag7 (ct shotgun) You can also add me if you want any more information, that's just the meta in a nutshell atm.

Carmac tells HLTV.org that IEM will NOT pick up CSGO this upcoming season, which is when CSGO is officially released. http://www.hltv.org/news/8723-carmac-no-csgo-as-main-title

The BETA for GO is also the opposite of SC2 where high level play was normal to see. I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, but this is news for the fate of CS:GO as an esport title: Carmac tells HLTV.org that IEM will NOT pick up CSGO this upcoming season, which is when CSGO is officially released. http://www.hltv.org/news/8723-carmac-no-csgo-as-main-title

I'm kind of a CS newb, should I be practicing on bots or just sucking up the shame of going 2-8 in multiplayer games until I get better? Is there any info I should know that isn't apparent to someone who generally knows FPS games? Uhh. The game generally favors more aggressive play right now, which is awkward because spraying in the game at the moment isn't the greatest. Try tapping or bursting accurately. Patient shooting is more rewarded. It's like 1.6 with sprays that don't reg 100% basically. You can shoot 100% accurate while walking (holding shift) or while crouching and walking (holding control.) Aside from that, you'd really need to be more specific. Timings and map positions are just learned from playing the maps extensively. ![]() steamcommunity.com/id/Maedi
