Just saw volcano boost someone to catwalk on de_dust2 , so its definitely still possible (could be competitive mode b/c they were scrimming)

In the Casual mode earlier, they would just slide off of eachother.
Rifles and netcode need a loooot of work. Deagle is way too good right now.

Volcano man, so good! Rest of our team needs to get on ):

My friends and I all had the same problem when playing today. With the V-sync turned on the game is almost unplayable for some reason. After turning it off, it's actually a lot of fun and runs smooth like it should. the AWP is a lot harder to use but the other guns work pretty well. it feels a lot less random than source and the head-shots take more aim now. Spray is a lot less accurate as well.

How did you get your keys? And whose ass did Zlasher lick to get his? >.>

hey does anyone know the release date for cs:go??
|
The streams make the game look pretty solid solid, especially considering that its in beta. A lot of good feedback from what I see from streamers too. So excited.

source engine has always looked so ugly imo :<

Got some time in yesterday - about an hour. Took a while to get my mouse setup comfortably. Turning off Vsync is essential - the input lag was really bad. Also turning off Mouse Smoothing and making sure Raw Input was on was very important for how i liked the mouse to feel.
The buying system is going to take a while to get used to. I have all the old #'s burned into my sub conscious so the first 20 minutes - buying weapons was weird. Regarding gameplay - my opinion is irrelevant really - but i def thought it was fun. More so than regular Source CS and the graphics update is a bit more noticable when playing than watching someone else play via stream. But it still has that source engine look which i fully expected.
Ill def be playing more though - already cant wait to get home and put in more time tonight.

going to be a good competitive game ? 100% sure it's gonna be a good competitive game. The question is: Will IEM and other big tournaments pick it up? Will it stop CS 1.6?
I don't expect MLG to pick it. i dunno why, but I just don't. <_<

The Deagle is meant to be very strong, i dont think itll change, i saw an interview with some valve developers saying they didnt like the way deagle save rounds in 1.6 worked, and that they thought the source deagle was better beacause it made deagle save rounds much more exciting.
GOs deagle is basically Sources deagle, and i think it will stay that way.

GOs deagle is basically Sources deagle, and i think it will stay that way. They don't pay enough attention to 1.6 then. For the best players, Deagles were still hugely effective. If the goal is competitive play, keeping the Source deagle dramatically lowers the skill ceiling required to make it effective in a save round. CAL-M equivalent players should not be able to pull off what MegatoN did.
It's always been a 1 hit kill weapon, but they don't need to make its bullets magnetically attracted to heads like it was in CSS.

So the beta is only through event invite so far? There is no way to opt-in as an outsider? I want to opt-in.

I totally agree with you dude, but we sadly live in the age of "lets make games retardedly easy so stupid lazy kids can have fun playing them and feel like theyre good"

They don't pay enough attention to 1.6? Really? Yeah, because the CS:S players who were invited to Seattle can clearly look at the current build and say "yes, this is what we asked for".. but wait, that isn't the case! A lot of the players who were flown over are largely disappointed with how little of their feedback has actually gone into the closed beta - and some of those players haven't even gotten a beta key :DD:D:DD
Also; yes, the deagle in CS:S is more powerful than it's 1.6 version, mainly due to the fact that you can stand still and actually hit within your crosshair.. and no, CAL-M players won't be able to pull off something MegatoN could on a regular basis - horrible players will remain horrible - obviously people will experience lucky rounds, but that's not exclusive to any game.
