i assumed he wanted to play his next build in the upcoming one month
so i didn't think about gear at all because it's not so easy to get the required crit gear so early on, better just make a build that doesn't rely on gear to get the required crit
but if you're a standard player im sure you can do whatever you want just buy getting 2-3 pieces of mirrored gear, tree don't mean much

yes 2x bino's and a rats nest end up running you a few ex, but that was also for cap crit which nobody stated was a requirement (and was at 0 power charges). A 30 crit ammy with life is 1-chaos tier, diamond rings could be white, etc.

What i'm saying is the build isn't going to be even close to stuck at 45% crit even with shit gear tbh.

I was working under the assumption of the 1-month btw, and I'm assuming we are talking softcore of course, as dual-wield flickerstrike doesn't seem very HC viable without absurd gear lol.

getting a good ammy or ring with resist and life and crit on top of that in the first week is not 1 chaos tier imo
they are actually pretty expensive because people are trying to build a wealth early on and these kind of 1c tier things sell for a lot
it might be 1c in the general sense, but in the first week of a 1month league
they are much more expensive

if you think about like "just get any shitty ammy with crit" then ofc it will be 1c
and plus he will probably spend most of his currency on buying a blooddance or darkrays
both are quite expensive early on

crit builds are admittedly far from flame-totem tier wealth builder builds that work with 2c total gear but I don't think that the level of gear necessary to make the build functional in a softcore environment is unattainable even in a 1month league. Besides, its PoE. You don't tell somebody not to build something that is clearly viable to some extent, you help them fine-tune it.

Only a problem if he intends to use Flicker Strike all the way. Personally, I'd never level with it and only swap to it later on (i.e. when you have decent gear). Before playing Flicker he won't need it.

Ok, I'm lvl 46, rolling around using flicker strike which does 1.5k damage per hit on average when I use hota + hatred + ice golem, 1.7k with 3 frenzy charges. My attack cooldown is 0.18 seconds, so 5.6 times a second, and I'm basically killing things before they can hit me. Which is good, I have 1.4k health haha. Also I picked up a pair of perfect mightflay flaying knifes for 2c each, so my frenzy dps is 3k without charges as well.

Considering options for cursing with assassin's mark, as currently I'm generating (really slowly, but it doesn't really matter yet) charges via frenzy with power charge on crit linked to it.

I'd run ice bite in ur flickerstrike link and herald of ice + curse on hit + assassins mark for charge generation
as long as u have hatred and are critting that will do a lot of the charge generation for you. Blood dance/blood rage may be necessary too for frenzy

You could consider poachers mark instead of assassins mark for a mana solution as well as a few extra frenzy charges.

At this stage frenzy charges aren't a problem at all, more my power charges. I do have a 5 link, so I could chuck ice bite in there.

Seriously considering putting a power charge on crit gem in my flickerstrike link setup. I know its a bandaid fix atm, but until something better comes along it should work fine. I just killed piety in a3 cruel in about 2 seconds flat so damage is really my last concern.

Nah man seriously use Herald of ice/curse on hit/assassin's mark. As long as you critical a decent amount at the start you will have plenty of power charges.

Any of my builds that use power charges basically staple Herald of ice and Herald of thunder with CoH Assassins mark. You get loads of charge this way.

At lvl 58 I now have 60.1% crit chance with 3 power charges up. My daggers have a 6% crit chance, so I'm pretty interested to see what say an 8% crit dagger would give me.
