My favourite was a CoC wander that could kill itself through 92% res if MoM was down. The fusillade was so satisfying. ;_;

did they actually increase droprate of shav's? if so im really glad I sold mine xD

From an economy perspective, Belly, CoD, LC were all a little too easy to get last season, a guy who played a few hours a week could conceivably build a few endgame chars on ~20-30 ex total. The moderately dedicated players could hit that in a month then just kinda get bored.
This season with Shav's and other T1's being more common (plus div) means the demographic GG likes, the pretty heavy players but not super elite, have a much better progression. They can strive towards T1 uniques for more of the league instead of getting Belly, CoD, etc. and kind of calling it quits because the gap to the next level of gear is too big. Oh, and div cards and having a lot more semi decent gear plus the sneaky +3 crafts helps as well.
tl;dr gear progression is much better, engages the kind of players that probably provide most of GG's $$$
Not expressing it the best since it's 4am but hopefully that kinda made sense

Everything for Exalts is way cheaper nowadays, however, Exalts are 2-4 times more pricey, so it kinda evens out a bit. I really shouldn't be so hesistent in buying Exalts for Chaos/Fusings... it's just that when you have played the game for so long and the Exalts were usually at between 20 and 35 Chaos, then it's quite the change to what we got now. I think the Zana prices are fucked up because of that, too. (everything from Warbands perspective)

I'm so salty. Just died cause my vpn cut out for like 5 seconds. Worst way to rip.

(everything from Warbands perspective) everything is super cheap in tempest. i mean t1 uniques for less than 10ex is pretty insane (exalts used to be 35-40 chaos in the previous leagues already, so there's maybe a ~25% increase in tempest). 6 links used to be a luxury item, now there are so many available (hello corrupting tempest) that u have to vendor them for divines that cost 5c lmao. with masters making your transition into high-ish maps very comfortable (from the gearing perspective) and cheap end game items the game has never been easier for the casual player to experience everything. i think poe is in a pretty good spot outside of the mapping system. they even buffed marauder for racing ^_^

Woooo! Found an exalted orb. What is it actually good for? Also found a couple 5linked melee 2handers, what are they good for? ^^ Also burned 120 linking orbs on a 6 socket armour. Didn't get lucky This game is hard! I like it.

Exalts are by far worth more in trade than to use...
120 fusings is about how many it takes to get a 5link (on average). 6links are nearer to 1000, on average. Ideally you'd use your fusings on an already-good chest (big life/resist rolls usually).
I'm not sure if you know this, but 6-socket items can be sold to vendors for 7 jewellers orbs which are very useful both for socketing your items and for buying fusings from the vendors (the female vendor in act 3 will sell you fusings for 4 jewellers).

And in your hide out, Vorici lets you buy 20 Fusings for 64 Jewlers, Elreon sells 20 Jewlers for 32 alts, and Haku gives 20 alts for 64 augmentation orbs, which you can use Clarissa (the female vendor in a3 iirc) to purchase by selling all your extra Wisdom scrolls for TP scrolls, then your TP scrolls for Alterations, then TPs for Augmentation orbs. Then you sell your fusings for Exalted. That's that super discount climb.

TP for transmutations, transmutations for augmentations, and augmentations for alts. you got confused along the way ;P

Thanks for all the advice, though I'm rather more inclined to play builds with suboptimal gear than to be a small-time orbdealer ^^
Also what's with all the divination cards? Are they part of a sponsor package or what? I must have about 30 kinds already and yesterday I found a new one!
Dual totem witch is doing L70- maps, about to make the jump to 71- and lets hope the luck holds and desynch/spawn doesn't kill me too often, level 83 now.
Sweep marauder (L15), although a bit of a glass cannon, has been fun so far, thanks for that tip!
edit: found a 6linked armour in the graveyard, with the correct colours for a firetotem build with chaos damage and without crit, what are the odds. Now to find added chaos damage...
edit2: t+10 minutes: found added chaos damage, it is blue instead of green. So now the big socket recolouring will have to commence. Odds will be against me once again! Oh well stuck cold damage in the green socket, +1k damage, will work until I've got the links coloured correctly.

After 4 years of POE and creating hundreds of characters. I think I'm finally really bored with leveling.
I even bought all of the required gear for my next build like a week ago but I'm still chilling at LVL1. It's gonna take me 6 months to get LVL15 with this speed.
|
Some guy didn't want to wait for me to get my chaos orbs out of my stash and kicked me from the party when I was about to trade him 4 chaos orbs for a quill rain. No problem, jump on poe.trade and hit up some random who gave me an ilvl 75, 99% projectile speed 16 dex 4 socket quil rain for 1 chaos orb. His loss I suppose.
|
Trading in this game can be pretty stupid sometimes, a bunch of dumbasses on standard keep trying to offer me crap prices for my legacy shav's because "the drop is more common now" lmao.
|
finally fixed my wand.
behold the beauty of this baby
|
Are you using that with KB?
Because there are some funny prefixes that I thought might outperform WED (like "projectiles return") but i guess that's build dependant.
|
yeap KB. i actually have no idea how the projectiles return would interact with KB though...
looking at a youtube video, doesn't look that good tbh. not sure about it dps wise.
|
How does one go about acquiring those light blue mods?
|
those are master craft mods.
The masters are Tora, Elreon, Vagan, Zana, Haku, Vorici, Catarina and Leo(PvP dude).
basically, they give you a crafting bench to let you craft mods on to items with currency
leveling them to max level (level 8) gets you cool crafted mods like the Multi Mod one you see here. they also sell you discounted currency as well as gear with their own unique mod (reduced mana cost gear, bleed gear, etc.)
you can read all about them here http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Masters
it is recommended to get your hideout and invite 2 masters to your hideout to do their daily quest everyday. leveling masters also lets you upgrade your hideout so that you can invite more to it (maximum 4 masters in hideout) so you can do more dailies.
|
So you've got to do a quest each day or they'll leave? ^^
Got a couple at level 5 now, going to take a while. This stuff is pretty deep. But if you can get +3 modifiers on items... Why not! Thx
