Also melee shouldn't be much harder, you just need to be careful a bit more because of the Smash. Else, you at least have more armour and fortify so you don't take as much dmg from the undodgeable stuff. | ||

his attacks by themselves are all dodgeable but the small size of the arena plus intensity of aoe attacks (that dissolve into clusterfuck) means some builds have it easier than others. totems/lategame srs players can mostly concentrate on dodging rather than attacking, very easy for them. regular summoners are toast will simply have their summons melt before they can do anything | ||

I think it just seems a lot worse for me cause I tried to shove a minion build down his throat that wasn't designed for him. If you go dual curse with tanky as hell zombies/specs like AngryAA did I think you're fine as well. | ||

I felt like 95% of the difficulty was just keeping track of the clusterfuck of crap he throws out. Normal = Size of Atziri trio room, Cruel = ~1.3x the current size, Merciless = just a bit smaller than current size. Too bad it's way too late for them to do that. | ||

also portalling removes all the traps that are currently in the area, so portalling after every 20-30s would actually help to give you more room to fight malachai with | ||

If you go hybrid you want one of them. Zealot's Oath only makes a difference if you have a decent amount of life regeneration, but it is definitely useful if you have no leech and no Ghost Reaver. Because you often will be at full Life and then your Life regen will do nothing. Gotta use Life Flasks for when Chaos damage hits you, and thus you need to be on alert. In general Zealot's Oath will be a lot more popular in 2.0, because if you go EB and Zealot's Oath you can use skills completely on Energy Shield and can reserve all mana for auras. EDIT: But if you have leech, I'd probably favor Ghost Reaver over ZO. Oh, and for the build I'll play tomorrow, I'm still quite unsure. Right now it's between 1h+shield hybrid wander with KB (never played KB) and a Firestorm build. I'm sure the leveling will be a lot more fun and faster with the Firestorm build, because the Wander would need to level with EK first and I have no good experience with that. Though people that played it on the beta say it's better now. | ||
