I got my 4/4, but my highest drop was like a ring worth 2c. Worst league regarding drops. I have even played this last one with so-so quantity(21%, 59% rarity most of the time), but get whites 99% of the time, even from boxes and bosses. Did get a Saffell's Frame from Vaal though. When I got to Merciless it started picking up, getting 2 chaos from the road to Mud flats, but then nothing again. I was very poor from the two first deaths, as I had to buy all gems and gear. Most of this chars gear stemmed from Normal, though just upgraded through some rare drops - I don't even dare to make 4S/L, in fright of being short. Even getting Chromatics from vendors is very rare, much less 6s doesn't. I have speculated if they have some sort of pseudo global drop rate, to control market, because this is the poorest I have ever been from time invested. I try not to think about it anymore, but it was frustrating just seeing whites, and occationally magics - again and again. Even getting a chance orb is very hard for me.
From level 1 and to level 80, I didnt loot one single gemcutter prism. What are the odds :D I hope in the next 4(?) month league the RNG kappa Gods will be with us both.

I take comfort in knowing you had it even worse than I. Grats with making 4/4 btw. And yes, next time - we will swim in the loot - or at least get a 6L from 1 fuse and a jew(no pun intended).

60 rarity is nothing tho.
You need at least 125 iir for solo play to see a difference.
Aurseize+IR gem plus Andvarius makes a good difference in solo play if you don't mind vendoring, but then again I prefer joining dom runs.

I also got shit drops in the ~4 hours (~level 35) I played of the 1month SC until I got bored and stopped. 1 fuse, 1 alch, and nothing above. Still getting reasonable drops in standard though, oddly enough.
As for fortify, attaching the implied support gem to whirling blades seems like an easy way for a spect thrower or a dagger caster to get access to the buff. Casters using a scepter or staff can use ground slam, perhaps. Much less convenient for wanders and archers though. 25% damage reduction to every damage type is a huge buff for anyone who can get it - it's like 33% more effective hp (along with a similar effective amplification of flasks, regeneration, leech, etc). I expect it to last longer than 4 seconds, since vigilant strike has a 4s cooldown and I'm guessing it's designed to be up all the time for users of that skill.

eh for solo even something like 20-30iir and you can start seeing a difference in the amount of yellows dropping especially useful when levelling at the start of a new league. crank it up to 200+ for mostly yellows, 400-500+ for 1 unique every 2 trips to dom/piety etc.
even still RNG is RNG, people have found tier 1 uniques with little to no IIR. IIR stacking is mostly good for chaos/regal recipe.

I finished 4/4 sc and 4/4 hc two days ago. I got an exalt in each race. But otherwise not much from 1 week of playing other than plain old currency. I got really good boots I wore the entire race though on both characters, so that was lucky. life triple resist ms.

I ripped on my HC character at 82 
It is so annoying to have to re-level gems. I have a lightning coil and aegis in storage, any cool viable HC builds with them?

Found the best Windripper currently available (probably the best in SC league), last night in a shit rolled 66 map. 98% crit, both ele damage max top end. Seems pertinent to the above discussion - I only have 60% rarity.
I think I'm going to try to trade it for a Mjolner and just convert the RF trapper to RF Mjolner. Advice for a chest piece for RF Mjolner? I could just keep using my Cloak of Flame, but the ignite chance is nigh useless with Mjolner (my Voll's Devotion is waiting in standard), so I feel like a chest with some actual defenses would be good.

RIP 5link +3 fire staff and 6s nicely rolled belly. Was fighting shock and horror with boss damage mod, as I'm taking care of the totems after I killed the boss I stand on shocked ground for a sec and a couple of them jump on me, oops. Don't poe when tired kids. Oh well, atleast I have my 4/4. Now it's time to see if my char can kill atziri on standard.

The best part is being able to filter all the useless white items that drop. You don't even need to do anything special when the good items aren't in a huge pile of useless shit. Being able to mark say ilvl 77 weapons or 78 armors is also interesting though.

Ok casually checking POE news again one day and damn that QOL change. GGG seems to slowly improve annoying but relatively easy to change features. Kudos to them. Now only wish is that I can farm Dom without dropping to 10 fps 5 mins in. Hope that stuff get better in a4.
Also I'm not really well verse at this so I'll prob take a whole day to confi the script to how I like when it finally come out lol.
