Didn't plan much so far actually, but was thinking about frenzy, which could double as a single target dps, relying on a more standard elemental damage setup, with fast attack/multistrike and the like. Blood rage could work if all of it kills fast enough, but then I'd have a regen issue I guess. I'll think a bit more about it. | ||

I played a flickerer for funzies on hardcore to level ~76. My experience with it: - your eyes will hurt, fall out, explode, implode and bleed all at the same time. - even tho I went to limit my aps by only using up to 1.35 atk/s weapons it was still too fast to efficently target mobs. - you need a solid and fast frenzy generator otherwise you will be too slow in terms of clearing speed. - try to use Bloodrage if possible, my toon had positive Chaos resi on merci and enough Lifereg to sustain Bloodrage even without Frenzy charges (was using Blooddance) - when generating frenzy charges via "on kill" you most likly won't have fun in partys. - Quartz flask and Leap slam was mandatory to not end up in weird and strange situations ^^' - going crit sounds funny because of "Recharge one charge on Criticalstrike" stat of flasks -> 90-100% uptime on granite and ~60% uptime on quartz is awesome as flickerer - impact damage is HUGE. So your general idea sounds legit, just try to fix the "problems" with flickerstrike - last but not least: /oos edit: looked a bit into ur passive tree; are you sure you want to go 2hand? with 1hand you could get away with a lot higher crit-efficiency (crit multi only at 55% with mediocre critchance) and did i miss the critchance calculation? ^^ 6,68 * 4,4 = ~30% cc before equips. would end up at approx ~35% with slight crit-equips. edit2: forgot that flicker had critchance on quality. 4*20 = 80% so about 5% needs to be added ![]() My 2cents to critchance, flicker strike and why I think you need auto-generation or go onehanded/dualwield for more crit: + Show Spoiler + 1,25 * 1,15 = 1,4375 attacks per second 1,4375 * 0,9 = ~1,3 aps with 90% accuarcy 1,3 * 0,4 = 0,52 crits per second So roughly every second attack will crit. With 3 frenzy stacks that would mean you will most likly consume two to proc one crit. That would end you up with 2x frenzy usage to proc one flicker-crit to proliferate a burn. 1. frenzy = 0,77 seconds 2. frenzy = 0,533 seconds 3. frenzy = 0,44 seconds using 3x frenzy going to take you about 1,7seconds (assuming NO ias support gem ![]() Now you'd need to factor in the ias from flicker into the flicker aps to know about how much a full rotation would take to proc a crit for 100% on some mob. Out of my ass errr head i would assume flicker will end up at something like 0,4 aps with full charges and lv20 gem. If two frenzy charges are enough to proc a crit, the left over frenzy charge would make it faster to generate the next two etc. etc. In all what I want to show with this is that if you don't "auto"-generate the charges i doubt that the clearing speed and skill rotation will be lot of fun ![]() Oh and $WTB motivation for 1month race .... | ||
