What level does that happen? None of mine have increased in cost so far and most of them are over level 15...

Docks leveling is OP. I think I went from 66 to 69 today. I didn't even play all day, I wasted well over 6-7 hours with other stuff. I did 68 45% - 69 in roughly 35-40 min..

Must be nice.. i have LA chain LMP and Ele dmg link but it costs 75mana, with hatred anger and the other one i can't remember I have 0 mana for it at all.
Still debating on projectile weakness vs conductivity for a curse too, have warlords mark as well but not sure if its worth using.
Finding gear is a nightmare, I read everywhere you should have 1500life to do cruel vaal.. I am nowhere near there, and the leveling in felshrine ruins is getting pretty slow at 49. Playing HC so trying to do it safe

I think one of us is misunderstanding the other. I'm talking about support gems - LMP, Chain, Added Fire Damage etc. When any of these are linked to a skill (and therefore modifying it) they increase the mana cost of that spell by a percentage. I think you know that, and we're just talking about two different things without realizing it.
Also, yes, Lightning Arrow + LMP + (well I only have the poor man's chain - fork) is pretty hilarious. The best part is how much lower it claims the DPS is than say poison arrow, but how stupidly fast it kills packs.

hi guys, i'm at a crossroads @ lvl 32 for my fire witch, can anyone give comments?
i'm debating whether to go top for the 2x curse (i would do ele weak + flamability to1 shot mobs) or to get defensive and take 2x body/soul + shield passives, currently i'm grouping for everything in normal and barely take dmg, but i dunno if i need the def nodes for later

Yes, but that cost is static and doesn't change by leveling it which is what the question asked (except in the case of reduced mana as previously mentioned). The levelup bonus for reduced mana is decreased mana cost.

I don't know if you have the HP necessary to make body and soul etc. worth it... especially as I think later on your #1 issue is going to be chaos damage nukes.

I'm a 48 Ranger on A2 Cruel right now Pwere. Was doing some felshrine grinding, got two levels now I guess I'll continue to Weaver and Vaal. My problem is finding a good armor with 4+ Links, even in trade. I'm still using my level 28 2slotter which is pretty useless.

damn is this why CI is so popular on witch? is it possible to grab like 2 +40 chaos resist rings or something?

My killing power has dropped a lot but i cant find an upgrade for my Ranger. This is annoying =/

body and soul has nothing to do with hp, its great for CI regardless of chaos damage. CI is popular because everyone used it in closed beta where it had a 50% more energy shield modifier.
the only dangerous chaos mobs are snakes, vaal constructs and alchemists. snakes and constructs you can dodge quite easily, and alchemists only appear with serious damage in merciless catacombs (not considering maps). so until you are very lategame you dont need to worry all that much about your chaos resistance, and then you can simply decide to spec ci or grind some chaos resist gear.

CI not so popular anymore - it was popular before because it was something like max HP 1 and +80% ES, so it basically replaced your HP with ES. Handy, given that +ES nodes were more accessible than HP nodes, and obviously the chaos immunity. Uh, I'd say while a lot of people (myself included) were bummed it got changed, CI was almost necessary/guaranteed to be a part of 90% of caster builds, so it was probably overpowered. Just happened to be the overpowered skill every build used.
You can get chaos resist rings but I think it's why people put a premium on Amethyst flasks (gives 35% chaos resist during duration), and then other random stuff. Anyways, point was that I'm not sure b+s would make much of a difference because resist caps at 75%, so what'll kick in more is your max HP... although if you have high ES then B+S does give you that.

Played through act1 in the first day but didn't touched the game since then. D3 is jjust the better game. I don't see a motivation to play PoE.

Glull and Southlight, thanks for the info, i was thinking about body and soul for ES, but keep forgetting chaos goes through it....i guess i'll look around and see if i can hit some more life nodes.
i actually dont like the chaos dmg mechanic, i wish they just stuck w/ poison and made it another element. seems really hard to balance especially when witches all seem stack ES
