What sucks though is that most of the players just trying the game out are going to quit because of the instability they are currently having. | ||

But the stability of servers got worse and worse over the last days It's not about being free, what you have to remember is that this is a beta, server stability issues were to be expected After many failed attempts I managed to advance to act 2 in HC. I tend to really suck at HC in any given game, but my current character is just lovable, he's a bow marauder, it's pretty awesome! | ||

You cant evade spells but you can dodge spells if you take a passive node. When you getting attack the game will roll first you evade chance and then you dodge chance and then block chance | ||

My ele hit adds ~150 damage and I attack just over twice a second. Ice shot only increases your physical damage by 50% (I imagine it tapers off and starts going up by 1s instead of 3s around 40% though like other gems so likely less). The two advantages of ice shot are that it converts physical to cold meaning all the damage will be double boosted and that the physical damage is a multiplier rather than a flat addition. Even with these benefits you'd need to be doing a lot more physical damage to break even with elemental hit. I think you are mistaken how the converted damage works and that is why you don't see what I see. Converted damage doesn't add on damage at all, it just converts it to another damage type and allows it to be boosted by both types of boosts. Your converted physical to cold damage gets boosts from anything physical damage gets as well as cold. You're also using a slow bow though so I guess that might skew your opinion slightly. My bow has over 1.5 base attack speed. | ||

Other than that the game is a lot more fun than in closed beta but playing melee still seems so much more inferior in comparison to a ranged spec, have fun in a room with necros and about 10 casters waiting for you. And god damn reduced mana why won't you drop? I'm to stubborn to trade it because it seems a little bit too expensive. | ||

Don't underestimate the power of 1.55 attacks per second. The bow has a physical dps of 166 and is pretty much the perfect bow for a elemental hit/lightning arrow character. I'm not sure I'd go as far as 7GCP, but when you're in a bidding war on a high value item you're always going to overpay for it when multiple people want it. I don't have gems in my bow personally so that I don't have to worry about links/sockets on it when I'm looking for upgrades. When I want to have two 6Ls it will actually matter, but right now I'm doing just fine with 5L/4L and I can't afford a 6L so ^_^ There's only one other good bow that has a good base attack speed and that is item level 66 minimum so they're incredibly rare right now. | ||
