This ASL20 season has the worst advertising ever - a Razer mouse is being promoted by some Counter Strike player...
1. Razer is trash - over hyped and over priced products with a standard scam warranty - EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT FOR YEARS. Razer has lost it's reputation a long time ago, and nobody want's to see it's crap appear on our StarCraft VODs! Razer you reading this? I SHIT ON YOUR PRODUCTS! NOONE SHOULD BUY RAZER STUFF! Why not Roccat instead? HA HA..
Also, watch this
2. Why are we being ignored so much as to have some CS guy appear in a StarCraft video? Seriously! WTF? People are here for StarCraft and don't want to see gamers who mean nothing to them! Why can't we get Dewalt/Mihu or famous Korean streamers and actual SC gamers like Sea/Calm/Terror to promote something? Most people who watch SC don't give a shit about some CS guy named Niko. He is nobody is StarCraft universe!
I hope in next ASL season we get "changes".
EDIT: i wanted to post this in off-topic, but could not find it.
I think you could have posted it in the Blogs section or whatever... Aside from that, I believe your post is irrelevant and emits unnecessary bad vibes. Let's be honest.
I get what you're saying but I honestly would just be happy they're putting any money into SC advertising. The game is pretty much dead by gaming industry standards. Some SC fan boy that's a manager at Razer probably pushed the ad through and some lower level marketing guy, who doesn't know shit about the game, just threw something together and sent it off. I know that sounds shitty but the ad spot probably didn't cost much and they simply won't put the care into something like that compared to an actual big ad buy.
I've had razer kraken headphones for 9 years. The outer shell fell off within the first year (it was made of pu leather). The software is a bloated piece of shit as well. The actual electronic components are fine lasting this long for something produced this century, but it does cut out from time to time.
Apparently Action and GoRush used their mice for what it's worth. I've heard people recommend some of their mice but never tried em myself (they are on the pricey side for sure).
That being said why are you even watching ASL advertising? LOL
Take a piss, grab a cookie, watch a short, talk to the Guys In The Chat...
Pretty sure Razor had some of the best mouses on the marked some years ago and you can still buy it.
Funny enough, i only remember seeing logitech advertisments this season. And the part of overprized and overhyped can also be said about Logitech mouses. Non the less they are basicly the go to for starcraft and other e-sports. Specially if you go for the cheaper ones and specially when you live outside of korea.
I think it is a bit unfair to cry about, niche popular players because last i checked Dewalt still needs to go working even though he promotes all thesecdifferent products for construction.
indeed i think most of BW fans don't know how is that CS guy (i surely don't because i don't care about any other videogame besides starcraft) but any sponsor is a good sponsor!

If honestly - than yes, this was not serious at all and is irrelevant. The place of this thread should also be in the blogs section (did not realize it at first). There will always be folks who will respond with "my old Razer worked for 10 years and the new Roccat died in two weeks'', so whatever... But i did not lie when i said that Razor, as a marketing brand for gaming peripherals, might have the worst reputation in gaming community over the last 10 or so years - this is a fact! The old HOT6 commercials were awesome - chugging down energy drinks in the studio became an ASL tradition, and now we have Google Play, an ill reputable PC hardware brand and a CS player during StarCraft tournament - SAD.
