I was just running through Act6 on my 2nd char, opened a strongbox, a mob dropped - what I thought was an exalt because of the border my itemfilter made - something behind the strongbox-nameplate, but it was mirror. Hooooly shit. I never cared what happened to my stashed stuff after a league ended but I need to build a shrine for that one. Hope you all have a wonderful season after the rough start. | ||

I am going impale (vaal) rain of arrows (Champion). as i can see the idea behind many smaller hits and impale or poision, not sure i can see the same synergy behind it and bleed. If you go that way the corrupted blood gem seems like nice bit of extra damage to that build | ||

How is everyone else doing so far? I haven't had that much time yet but I got to 84. Did they lower the amount of trials to accomodate for the new option to use the gifts? I found a grand total of 1 trial in my maps so far... Other than that Ice Traps works out well. Clear is fine, basically zero investment needed, and I just perma freeze map bosses and kill them in a few seconds. With all the immunity, phasing and evade stuff, the only thing that felt bad was stuns. Turns out with the new abyss jewels it is really easy to get early stun immunity for a few chaos using darkness enthroned. I got stun 2x avoidance+life jewels for now, later I can add flat damage, which should be great for ice trap. Ultimatum is kinda meh now. Just a bit of extra currency. I also "bricked" my atlas early on by accidentally spawning my first conquerer in New Vastir by running a single Belfry. Not sure how that happened but now I'm basically stuck with the outer region for one row which apparently needs higher maps for maven to be interested than the inner regions. -.- | ||

I had several builds planned but finally I was lazy and played the same build I've played before with freezing pulse totems and self-cursing (soul mantle, kikazaru, self-flagelation). It is cheap and effective. I still have to try the new Maven helmet (Viridi's veil) with coward's legacy. I'm in level 86. I don't know if I will start my second character (penance brand) this weekend or I will wait until next week. I'm playing less hours than other leagues so I don't have so much currency. | ||

I'm re-rolling a Witch now and wanna go Elementalist --> Vaal Arc +power charge stack. Was able to make a bit of currency with my other char so I should be able to run for a while with this setup until I go for more end game with another one later on. | ||

Also finding Ice Trap fairly fine on a four-link; throwing speed from Charged Traps and two bonus frenzy charges is nice but looking forward to the temple gloves (though putting off using Alva missions until I have the Glennach Cairns Incursion mods unlocked). Good tip re: the new abyss jewels - can they also roll the 10% stun avoidance enchant/implicit from Harvest? Hard to tell what's in the pool for what type of jewel. Found 4/6 lab trials and have nine Offerings from dupe trials / Ultimatum & Ritual rewards etc if I want to roll for the last two (after I work out some probabilities on a napkin). Which skill tree did you end up using, Miragee? | ||

Which skill tree did you end up using, Miragee? I agree, Ice Trap is fine with less links. I added Life Tap for now so I could drop the mana flask until I get my hands on the gloves. I haven't thought about the enchants to be honest but I think they can roll on all abyss jewels, which means you can get stun immunity just from the belt slot now. :o For now I'm using the ranger nodes in addition (they are decent anyways) but it's something to think about and fiddle around with later. I ended up using the Scion+Shadow one. However, I found out they nerfed The Vigil as well (down to 8s) which is trash. At that point it's not worth it to get the strength jewel I think so I get 4 more points to spend. If I reroute below shadow instead of up I would get another point and then I get access to some nice clusters between shadow and ranger. The only reason I routed up was it gave me a lot of free int and I didn't have the points for any of the clusters between shadow and ranger anyways. For Fortify the alternative is either shield charge or vigilant strike. Currently I'm experimenting with vigilant strike (+faster attacks+fortify support) as I'm in the face of the enemies all the time anyways. It needs melee strike range for sure. Will see if it is enough to feel good... | ||

I'm hoping they come out with a patch to fix this otherwise not sure how much more I want to continue. Build wise, Vaal Ground Slam is strong and satisfying, but it takes a lot of micro. | ||

As for map sustain, I had some problems early on but since then I always have barely enough. Also was kinda lucky to find Death and Taxes (t16) in a t12 map which dropped a t16. Otherwise I would have needed to find a t14 and wasn't even close to do so. Then once necessary I played that t16 with a Gilded Cartography Scarab and here like 5 t15 or so dropped. Pretty lucky string of events there that helped a lot. | ||

Pretty lucky string of events there that helped a lot. That is pretty lucky indeed. I have had quite a lot of issues with texture streaming as well and unstable/low fps. It also seems to make poe lag rather than just low fps. I'm playing on lock-step and sometimes it gets really bad. I usually have very few performance problems with poe. Kind of strange. I turned off dynamic culling and at least my fps got a bit better afterwards but the textures still often don't load. Not sure why they turned that on for everyone automatically... | ||

As always I started something I hadn't played before on ssf and it wasn't great :D bfbb-raider (l83) I couldn't handle for several hours playstyle-wise. Shattering Steel champ (~l72?) is okay. A bit more relaxing but every other skill-usage I throw into the wrong direction - which is my fault. So back to rf! Following what pohx is playing at the moment.Taking it slow and trying to get completion up so only on white and yellow maps. I enjoy Ultimatums except for stone circles. | ||

Well, the good news with watchstones is that you get them from maven invitations too  So you dont actually have to get the OG 32 watchstones, and can just fill it up with craftable ones. Heck, if you`re on trade, you can even buy your way directly to 32. | ||
