As a counterpoint, I still have flashbacks to the time I started a league with Spectral Shield Throw when it was introduced in Bestiary. Hyped for the new league, and hopefully we'll get to see the new Atlas before launch day. Glad they've added a div card for Orbs of Annulment; they were a bit of a crafting bottleneck in SSF even w/running Harbinger. Some of their spoken lines were pure gold and you actually had to think a bit about your choices with the bargain/execute mechanic to get what you wanted. Once I switched to a tankier build I rarely died to them, especially after I got some better gear and learned which map mods to avoid. I also like how they integrated the new masters, and the new crafting bench is so nice with all the options in one place. 3.5 was the league where I got my very first Guardian and Shaper kills (with my own build too - shoutout to a buddy of mine who encouraged me to drop the guides); I didn't quite had the passion to push on and kill Uber Elder, but I plan to slay him in 3.6. Overall Betrayal will be a fond memory for me. This reflects my experience with the league - I enjoyed the personalities of the Syndicate members, and gave me nostalgic flashbacks to earlier PoE experiences when rogue exiles were a bit scarier (I can still remember encounters with Magnus Stonethorn). I'm curious as to how the "three encounters in one map" version will work, considering I'm not entirely sure they've worked out all the problems with the implementation of Incursion - will you be able to have the same member turn up multiple times in one map, or if you imprison someone in the first encounter, will the second encounter take a round off their, ah, sentence? Managed 36/40 in SSF for Betrayal, including my first Uber Elder kill; not sure if I'll make my Synthesis endgame my first L100, first 40/40, or what. Going to experiment with a bit more MF in SSF at league-start, and would like to use something like Exile Diary or Mapwatch to record data for div card drops in maps with not a lot of info/datasets out there.

I'm thinking ED/Contagion might be a good starting point and something I could massage/respec into using the new chaos skills if they end up good, but we'll see what the patch notes are like.

Yep, although the last times I think we were getting this info 1-2 days before league start so yeah not a lot of time ahead.

Oh, cheers, thanks for those stats! Should have thought to look at BHC data / data over time.

Though while I'm here - with Solstice Vigil last patch and apparently The Eternity Shroud in 3.6 adding new drops to Shaper - has there been much of a precedent for adding new drops to existing "endgame"-y bosses before? I know the Pale Council uniques were shuffled around, but, say, they haven't done this w/Uber Atiziri or equivalents before, right? + Show Spoiler + ![]()

Sure the visuals could be improved, but its still very effective. Agree its an amazing league starter. I ran it as an occultist and transitioned into lowlife which allowed for quite decent endgame damage, though not enough to really do guardians or anything beyond. The playstyle is so relaxed though. Especially when running 20/21 enfeeble and temporal chains with 40% buff effect ![]()

Its still ok but absolutely nothing special when compared to Brands, Arc-Mines/Totems/Traps, Winterorb, FB/Vortex/Nova, CA or Herald of Agony... Well, the actually good and dirt cheap stuff? Especially considering how many buttons you need to Play it ![]() Mainly i'm just underhwelmed by how boring the new spells look. Bane has a cool mechanic but imho it looks too much like Contagion 2.0 and the other one is basically Ball Lightning but Chaos?
