been a while for me.. so this is probably awful this is what I threw together for an inquisitor ice spear guy. idea is i use hybrid with EB/MoM ... not much to it. shoot spears with high crit multi and do pretty much nothing else feel free to tear it apart | ||

EB actively harms your build here I believe since it doesn't do anything. You have no ES recovery mechanic. You won't have much ES. There's no point. I don't understand. You are taking mana nodes that are supposed to be hiding under your ES. You took the wrong half of the cold circle, although the pen on the other half doesn't help either so in practice what you want is to just take none of it. Crits = Freeze, you don't need garbage chance to freeze or anythign awful like that. Same with the celestial punishment node. Its just not good, dump all those nodes since you don't need pen or chance to freeze. I also philosophically disagree with your ascendancy passives (dump the consecrated ground garbage for the actual good nodes) but if you object to using a melee mobility skill (whirling blades, shield charge, leap slam) then your choice is almost defensible. I'm not sure what your clear is going to look like since ice spear even with GMP is going to have a fairly tight shotgunning cone rather than big spread (also no aoe explosions iirc although pierce right?). Also you are going to need a lot of dex for gmp. Might be worth testing the new winter orb for clear along with ice spear for single target (or whatever you feel comfortable with, you can test all the skills really). One underrated combo I like is Rallying Cry + https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Spirited_Response The mana regain isn't instant, but it gives you enough mana that you'll always be able to flame dash / shield charge away. One of the worst feelings when playing MoM is when you're mana pool is fully drained and you can't use your movement skill. You'll also want to consider if you want to use warlord's mark, for the leech vs a DPS curse | ||

probably also path through crit multi at doom cast (its worth) and also cut melding for blood drinker i bet since the ES isn't so relevant anymore. | ||

Overall though I think ED is going to be super strong this league Ah yeah, I've run Trickster ED in an SSF flashback race and had a blast - silky smooth movement skill usage & recovery/regen - but I have my heart set on DO/Withering Presence (& hopefully Aspect of the Spider before league-end) shenanigans. I'd actually considered leveling with BV pre-DO instead, but I can't pass up on seeing how the new NACDOT (bit of a mouthful) nodes work out. | ||

1. The new Bonechill Support mostly affects cold damage over time. That CDoT is exclusive to a few cold skills, correct? It can't be triggered from every cold spell just like burning can from fire spells? 2. Frostbomb debuff is still being applied when I skill Ancestral Bond, right? I don't need Trap Support? It's just the final hit that doesn't do any damage? 3. How fast does Frostbomb pulse? Is adding Increased Duration a good idea or worthless? 4. Do the new Totem Support and Ritual of Awakening effects stack? As in, do I cast 3 totems at once if I cast? The wording kind of sounds like it wouldn't stack. 5. What happens if I link two curses to a Trap Support? First trap triggers the next curse and the second trap the second curse? I'm not sure but I might go for dual curse if Totem Support and Ritual of Awakening turn out to stack. | ||

2) yeah 3) idk i'm sure thats something u can discern while playing 4) almost certainly only 2 at a time 5) both curses will be supported by trap. You can press one button to throw a trap that curses with one skill, and one button to throw a trap that curses with the other skill. Trap modifies the skill, not vice versa. Curse on hit still works with ancestral bond tho (and can double curse at the same time) | ||

Increased Duration could be worthwhile if you have no tree duration and are self-casting it, but I always put mine in my CwDT setup (the parts you care about, resist and regen reduction, don't scale with gem level). You will have two different curse trap skills, one that lays a trap that casts your first curse, and a second, separate skill that lays a trap that casts your second curse. This sounds pretty bad to me. | ||

The first 20 levels would be quite annoying since all you can do to transition into Ele hit would be leaving Scion via Shaper and going up to EO and then Templar -> Ancestral bond. Sunder was a bit less painful there because you could leave via resists and towards Duelist. Looking at this some more, if I could get a Bow/CoC/Arc build to work that I like the totem/mine levelling might be totally fine. I'd ask botwob but he'll just tell me to play discharge anyway. | ||
