I think this league is...a ton of fun? Screwing up the first few incursions really stinks, though, since it ruins your first temple more or less. Once you get rolling it feels really cool to shape the temple (even if I can already see people getting frustrated with the RNG very quickly). I think the increased mob density as you level also really helps make the door keys drop, I find way more in A3 than I did earlier.

I find it fun for now although it is slowing down my leveling :D
I am just lacking those keys, even in act 3 they don't always fall even when I clear it fast.

Im only in act two but been having a ton of trouble keeping the incursions open long enough to get a bosskill when they are in a corner. So freaking much hp

Its hard early when your not clearing (and running) fast. Where possible I would focus on trying to open a path to the end boss for his items which can be crazy.
And try to get a Demolition Room if it shows up. they let you break open a door (per level of the room I think).

This league does do more DPS-checking than any league prior (the mobs feel tankier than the wet tissue paper of Breach mobs, anyway, and the incursion rares are tanky as hell). It can be really frustrating if you have a slower-scaling build, and the first few incursions are probably always gonna be crappy barring twink gear. It helps a lot once you get enough defenses to ignore the bosses (who seem to have like 3 telegraphed moves total).

Once you ramp up, though, it's a lot of fun. Looking forward to maps.

Best league since Invasion. Or Perandus. Not sure.

Getting destroyed is only a matter of time and most likely a result of your own greed. Also everything I have seen so far is well telegraphed which is a huge plus as well.

PS: Chaos res is love.
PPS: I just realized why Uberdan is playing Scion with his trapper. Not for any crap like Chieftain or Elementalist but for Necro to get maxblock with bone offering. Sneaky.

Anyone doing the traps vs mines debate have an updated opinion after playing a bit now? I just got back from the weekend and haven't kept up with anything. Still doing arc saboteur just don't know how yet. Also seeing the tree changes in PoB for the first time too.

Arc Traps > Lightning traps. Less lag, cleaner pack clear, more singletarget. Add Spire and it's gg.

e: Oh you were asking about mines. I haven't seen any of the top players play mines so far so not sure.

I'm leveling with traps just because they're fotm at the moment but wasn't sure about the pros and cons of arc mines vs traps in the long term for mapping/bossing. I assume mines is probably better damage while traps is quicker / more fun clear. Will probably try both. Was just curious.

Is lightning spire more of a damage boost / supplement for single target rather than a main skill? That sounds fun. Like this builds version of a warchief totem.

Ok, there is a setup with >500k dps for ignites on shaper/elder, with 8k hp for ea, requires level 94, and doesn't have unrealistic gear, in fact the jewels are 1c a pop, and suck ass for that matter.

How good would the clear be?

I tried clearing incursions with Fireball+ignite prolif and prolif has such a pathetic aoe. I think Ignite is a fail more because of lack of AoE clear. So the dps is not even the worst problem atm.

Aoe is excellent, it's a quillrain gmp ea build. Only time you'd ever switch away from that would be to kill super healthy bosses, like guardians/shaper/elder. So in that case, a +3 fire bow is the ideal choice, and quite easy to get. Here's the pob for it, some things are still being improved, my jewels are attrocious.

1 thing to note is that I've unticked elemental equilibrium, and manually modified enemy fire res down by 50%, as the interaction with ea and ignite and pob is wonky.

This is an excellent league, with imo excellent balance changes, and even though the power creep is solid I still think the overall direction of the game is now pointing the best way it has for a long time.

Arc is stupid good right now, literally anything with arc in it is gonna be able to do everything in the game. That said, lightning spire trap is really good single target so I think that traps are the best balance of clear speed and bossing potential if you are looking for a single character to do everything. Mines are probably better single target, tho, because mine support still has its more multiplier and you can prolly still use lightning spire traps as a miner if you want.
