They never release challenge league details this far in advance but it's a safe bet to say that they will have put more work into the upcoming league than they did into harbinger. When there's a big content release, the corresponding challenge league gets very little dev time just because of priorities. The smaller patches generally feature more involved challenge leagues. | ||

Maybe I should do a Spectre/SRS mix or something. Or Spectre/Zombie mix or Spectre/Skeleton one (that one would be closest to D2 Necro) | ||

He only has one attack skill - Ball Lightning that is used for cursing and to apply EE. No idea how he gets the shrine effects except from normal shrines. | ||

I'd prefer using Solar Guards though, for tough bosses they are decent as well but you also can use Cannibal Fire-Eaters which I think have the highest ST potential and use pretty similar gems. | ||

It used to be that DoT kills wouldn't have your rarity modifiers for example because when mobs died they checked the killing blow and DoTs didn't have a killing blow. In order to fix that, now they award the kill to the owner of the DoT, but minions don't "own" their DoT's (probably because you don't want a minion to have a DoT and disappear and the DoT also disappear) so the DoT owner is you. This gets annoying sometimes (my friend used to run knitted horror spectres and he'd get CB stacks from the blue mobs from time to time, presumably when they died to the puncture). Interestingly, this probably means that if you link rarity to your spectres they won't get the benefit on DoT kills even though the rarity gem works on YOUR DoT skills (Caustic Arrow MF was a big thing for a while). But I can't promise that and it's somewhat awkward to check. | ||

the Skullhead if you need more tankiness on the spectre. The Bone Helmet gives up to 40% minion damage and can roll +2 to minions | ||

You're not supposed to facetank anything, you're supposed to use your movesped (mostly qotf/PF-builds, I guess) to avoid being hit and get close to deal insane damage with Barrage. Quite similar to how qotf-snakebite Bow-shadow played in 2.6, I think. At least the builds that I know work that way. The idea is that because Barrage DPS drops quite significantly when you're far away from the enemy because of the spread, you want to be close anyway. So getting a bit closer for a big increase in damage is desirable. | ||
