Hey, brief question in regards to the chaos orb recipe..
I wonder if it has to be a full "gearset", or could is it just "fill the entire vendor window with unid yellow stuff above a certain ilvl". As in, do i need the rings, amulet etc or could i use a an unid dagger (also three slots) to fill them?
edit: it states that there's specifically supposed to be two 1h weapons, which generally are 6size - claws would not work either for this recipe?

you need 2 rings, amulet, 2 weapon slots (so a combination of say wand+1h melee weap or bow/2h weap work), body armour, gloves, helmet, boots, belt. no other combo works.

Ah, now i understand why.
The second i finished Act 10, i got a debuff (missed it somehow) that reduces resistances by 60. That hit really hard, especially as a melee. Man.
Anyone got a Bismuth Flask for sale? -.-

You can buy good items with resists and life from poe.trade for 1 chaos.

Yeah i know, just some items are "mandatory" for the build (more or less) - got a couple of those, biggest hit on resistances would be Wise Oak, need three more orbs for that one. Have to bite myself through the pretty much constant dying now until i can afford that one plus two rings.
Quite impossible as a melee to dodge projectiles/elemental damage, or i'm too dumb to do it.

run a Purity of Elements aura until you can cover the res from gear

Anybody else feel like Stibnite flasks are super good? They're the ones that give 100% increased evasion and a smoke cloud on use. Thing is they only consume 10 charges on use, so its super easy to keep the effect going permanently. I use a freeze/chill immunity Stibnite on every character.

They're the best defensive flasks against anything but spellcasters if you are in melee range and blind the enemies.

I got one with curse immunity. I found curse immunity to be more important on this flask when hitting red maps.

And another one. I think the biggest problem as a noobie like me, you don't actually know what "possibilities" there are. This is a cheap flask, and i died already multiple times because of being "perma frozen" (isn't Soul of the Brine King supposed to prevent that?). Far away from red maps, hehe.

Brine King prevents chain stuns. Stun is a different mechanic than freeze.
And what you are going thought, we all went through. Some of us (hint, hint) without a guild to ask for advice.

edit: is there a button to "finish" a map and close the portals, or are the left over portals open until i open a new one?
edit2: nevermind, new character it is. One that's a bit less volatile (my HP jump from 100% to 10% to 100% roughly 3 times in a second). It's fun, but if i'm bathed in sweat after every harder hitting enemy, it gets tiresome ^^
This time dex based, me thinks.

If you'd like to join, you're welcome to. You're even welcome to ask 'stupid' questions in guild chat, that's what it's there for. Feel free to just drop a character name in here and someone will toss you an invite.
For your new build plan that's also something people can help you out a bit if you give us an idea of what you're looking for roughly. "Dex based" can pretty quickly turn into a synonym for "squishy" =P
