so i'm playing ngamahu's axe cyclone berserker this league softcore this time with some friends.
doing blood magic + vaal pact.
got lucky and got an exalt yesterday to buy the axe. bought devotos devotion today as well but i'm finding it really difficult to cap my resists because of all the uniques that have basically none

also what is better for cyclone phys damage or AS in terms of jewels and cruel bandits?

Stupid(?) question.

Why are there Blight and ED builds but i don't see Blight-CWC-ED builds?

Shouldn't the DMG for Blight + CWDED at least make up for two lost Support gems at least when it comes to the pure Blight builds? It even feels better to Play than pure ED because it "feels" like you cast ED faster when you do it by channeling Blight. The only Thing you lack compared to pure ED is Pierce and projectile damage nodes, but there are plenty of Chaos nodes to make up for this.

What am I not seeing? :D

Well the ED Contagion playstyle is fire ED then run/dodge across 2 screens while everything die. On the other hand cwc playstyle is sustain cast dps of high cast time skill + leech so they don't actually line up.

ED also doesn't work very well at all without Contagion, since it only affects 1 target otherwise. Unless you have a ton of pierce, which you probably wont have in a cwc build? not sure how aiming with cwc works. also imo ED doesn't stack with itself.

How to survive Bonespire Talismans with CI aside from offscreening? I couldn't imagine going CI on HC thanks to them. Flasks help a lot while playing a Life build.

Leech/Regen/not standing in the ground shit in the first place. They're pretty damn deadly for life builds too tho.

Well, if you attack and he casts it on you and you stand in it for a single second you are dead from my experience. Leeching is nice but not always there are monsters to leech from after the fight.

What do you guys think about a detonate dead build using scourge claw and necromancer? Since you invest into minion passives you can also run with Zombies to increase survivability. Scourge claw gives general bonus damage that would work with both detonate dead base damage and ignite damage afterwards.

Or maybe just elementalist with Scourge claw so I get that free elemental proliferation boost? I won't have access to useful zombies or boosts from Offering spells so I guess much less survivability?!

Vortex is just for blowing up trash, since it all dies in a single cast up to t16 with a decay bow (and with the profane bloom node on occultist it reapplies it accross trash if for w/e reason they didnt die immediately).

Ed for bosses yeh.

Uhm.... you take Assassin but don't get easily available Power Charges and most of all the 0.5 base crit Ascendancy note which would be the one thing that makes Assassin a decent choice for casters (spell base crit isn't very high). Before I write more I will say that people usually roll Inquisitor for crit spell builds because some monsters have high resistances and can be kinda annoying. And resistance map mods aren't very rare.

Duration nodes are kinda vital for Spark. Also Vaal Pact will be super nice. I'd pick Blasphemy + Warlord's Mark or something to sustain mana/life. I'd probably do it somewhat like this in the end: poeplanner.com

I was also planning to give you a better tree but work distracted me. HolydaKing did his version a bit differently but probably as good or better.
