The thing about the game is that it's just very very complex and there is so much to learn.
When beginners ask for a build that is "noob friendly", they get recommended a build with very few interactions so that there isn't too much to understand. The problem is, builds like that are an awful example of what poe is and offers.
Another thing about build guides is that they direct you in the theory of a given build but they don't assist you in "how to play the game". Not very many guides tell you what affixes are good on gear at level 30, how to beat the lab, what the counter to bleeding is and all sorts of other fairly simple things that can cause new players incredible difficulty. Because most build guides are trying to tell you a setup around level 70 that can do maps, not a setup at level 40 that can beat motherfucking malachai for the first time.
Didn't play a lot of D2 so I can't really speak to what would be similar to it's necro, but SRS (summon raging spirits) is a pretty simple build you could try. Some people don't find it much fun though.
Some people find the game really engaging to try without following a build guide and just asking questions that are relevant to them at that stage of the game like which support gem to link or maybe which flasks to carry. Others find the game really hard to get into without somebody practically playing it for them all the way to endgame
yeah i see, maybe later i will try the spectres. i am using a contagion and essence drain built now, its always liked league of legends malzahar back in the day xD.

EQ is pretty straight forward for the most part from the minute you get it, although also incredibly boring. Same with Flamebast and Flameblast totems.
Haven't been able to play this season but likely will next. From some reading looks like poison builds and the HOA builds are the best ones, all going CI.assuming no big changes in 2.6 can mgamahus flame cyclone compete with those builds? It looks fun, but not sure how good it is in comparison or I'd it's capable of all the end game content.
Mathil should have a video on what amounts to as far as you can nush a ngamahu's flame cycloner. I don't know what success he did or didn't have with shaper/uber/guardians but the build clears pretty damn fast for something that isn't cospris etc.
Poison/ignite double dipping is still the recipe to easy success for guardians/shaper though (excluding the immune ones).
We don't know precisely what 2.6 will bring but it does sound like there will be not a lot of new content or balance changes, and maybe an increase in accessibility of old content (plus some minor balance changes).
Today is the big 3.0 announce, but 2.6 info isn't until thursday.
E: ooo chris says fake with respect to admonition of kalandra...
props to GGG. that is some fucking insanity that they low key had a team even in place to be doing this. i expected to keep doing act > features > act > features, then all of a sudden boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
