Yesterday I found a bunch of t9, t10 and t11. Today I ran about 2 t9 4 t8 and 4 t7 and got no map drops above 6. Feels bad man.

Rofl, my Gladiator on HC did Cruel Lab at 70 (I know, very high level) with 4,3k hp and 60% block pre buffs and 10k armor (thanks to Shield nodes and buying Lioneye's Remorse which is dirt cheap). Lost barely any hp. Decided to Merciless Lab as well because why not (now 62% block/spellblock), managed to do it too but with 12k dps the Izaro fight lasted a bit longer than I wanted so I nearly went out of flasks (got no non-instant flask so that's probably why). Also had to skip Argus, I took him down to like 40% but when I read "enrages" and felt like he started hitting to hard, I was too scared.

I think my plan is 89 today and 90 tomorrow but we'll see how it goes. It's so demotivating when you can't sustain even tier 8-9 maps which already only give 50% xp.
You should buy higher tier maps. The time saved alone makes it worthwhile.

Hey all, just starting up PoE and I'd love to play with some TL folks. I have no idea what I'm doing and basically just want to play a tons'o'minions build, so we'll see how this goes.
Requesting invite for character "Erastra" (witch)
Need anything else for an invite? :D

you need to give account name not char name for an invite
there are some cheap unique items that are really good for minion builds, someone can probably hook you up if you ask. look up guides and stuff on the website and subreddit.
welcome to PoE :D

Hurry and level so we can plaaayyyyy

lol sounds dope, I'm coming back to the game since beta so I have no clue what I'm doing either, nearing the end of normal difficulty at the moment.
I hear orb of storms + spark leveling is pretty popular now

Oh... duh. Account name would just be my Steam name, right? "asmodeusxi" for that.
I got a real hankering for D2 Necromancer and thought "I bet it's even better in this game." Hopefully I'm right.

This is backwards btw. We need the char name for an invite xD. Also invite sent.

derp
this is why im not an officer

TBH the system is screwy
You have to invite a character but it's the account that joins the guild. Hence the confusion.
|
It's okay we got third party tools to tell us when guild members last logged on. Thanks GGG. =(
|
Honestly, dev time doesn't grow on trees.
When you look back on the flow of content that has come and keeps coming it's hard to point at anything and say "Objectively they should have improved guild functionality instead of this."
|
Agreed. In my mind GGG are some of the best developers out there. I dont mind if there are some underdeveloped things here and there.

Ripped my lvl 80 to a stupid trap in cruel lab, and I had just spent most of my currency on a kaoms.
Welp at least I'm getting pretty good at that leveling part.
|
Tip for lab: having more hp makes your flasks (particularly instant healing flasks) less effective, which are pretty crucial for surviving dodgy traps .
|
So what you're saying is Kaom's is NOT a good thing to wear while doing lab?
Maybe just wearing a goldrim + some random gear that gives you resists with minimum HP is the best way to run lab while keeping your actual gear for Izaro. Well, if you want to optimize anyways, most time it's okay to overlevel and just run normally. My only change is I swap in vitality for a little extra regen.
|
Since there are mobs in the lab and not every trap is percentage based, it's still a good idea to have a large hp pool. However something like a kaoms might be too much, so switching it for a different chest in between izaro fights can help.
The spike traps for instance always hit you for 25% damage. At 4k hp, this is a 1k hit. A 800 hp instant heal flask almost bring you back to full after 1 gulp. At 6k hp, you get hit for 1500, which is about two gulps. That's what Im saying
|
Yeah not every trap is percentage based, I'm pretty sure the lava ground isn't and fire res helps. Also the poison darts tickle with my tanky max block char with over 10k armor, I can outregen them while standing in them. I read people die to them and I guess it's because defensive stats matter here.
|
I'm kind of annoyed that poison flasks don't seem to help against the darts. Fire res definitely helps against the lava ground, and it seems it does more damage on higher levels.
