Now I always ask for boost if I'm leveling with expensive stuff. | ||

However, I don't know how bad the AoE nerf was (which was totally unjustified by the way, considering the AoE was basically its strongest selling point in comparison to other skills). For HC, I guess no. Else Reave is pretty great, but I don't like using it (+ it's not really melee). | ||

holy fuck that must be painful. I'm playing Poison Siege Ballista on HC right now. Here's the build I had planned ahead. I took a similar Scion tree from reddit and changed it a bit. It's fairly strong and cheap with Chin Sol, Iron Reflexes and maybe Point Blank. I'm still wondering if I should pick up Point Blank. It willl help my single target (also puncture trap) quite a lot, though screen clear will suffer a bit I guess. Using Siege Ballista + Slower Projectiles + Poison + Added Chaos + Faster Attacks Gaining Frenzy Charges with Split Arrow + Chain + CoH + Poacher's Mark (I like it a lot, no mana problems with high LGOH/MGOH as well as easy flask charges) That build only needs Chin Sol (or Lioneye's Glare, lots of people use that instead but I don't think it's as good), Rain of Splinters, Southbound (gloves, so you can get charges with poison). Obviously Drillneck would be really good too, but I don't have it yet. Currently doing ~6k dps per Ballista at lvl 77, plus poison (which is rather strong because I almost only picked up Projectile nodes and Totem Damage nodes, which also enhance the Poison). Doubled dmg when the Ballistas are in melee range. And that's without Hatred / Ash as I'm using Grace & AA. Don't wanna invest in aura nodes. I managed to have up to 180k xp/h at Dried Lake. It's my first Talisman HC char. But I bought stuff (5L armor for 2c, Chin Sol for 2c and Rain of Splinters for 5c) so self found would be harder. Leveling isn't the best either, since you will have to take lots of traveling nodes (I started Ranger, but Scion or Duelist works too I guess). Personally I went for dual totems pretty late, at like shortly before Cruel Daresso/Kaom. But if you buy up to date bows all the time (for 1-2c, you can always sell them for that amount after using them) damage will still be rather good. TLDR: Imo Siege Ballista can be pretty good, I recommend trying it. But I also like Sweep a lot, though I'd assume you have played that already. edit: Changed some formatting. >.< | ||

Probably WED, for Poison to be really good you need lots of Projectile nodes + Iron Grip + Totem nodes and added Chaos. I guess if you went crit you won't have much projectile damage and I assume you are more "standard", i.e. you have hatred + maybe herald of ash. Then WED is most probably better. | ||

What makes duelist best is the lionseye fall gem, you use it in the bottom of duelist to get all those wonderful dmg nodes. There are quite a bit of options you can do with this too, mess around with it a bit, might find something you like. clicked arrow dodging by accident too, you dont want that node unless you go acro, which you could do as duelist too | ||
