I usually see the ottomans taking over fairly quickly when it comes to the AI. That particular mission might be slightly op, but I don't think the country is. Byzantines is hard to play, especially as there are so many bordering countries that has the power to just straight up steamroll you. Edit. For some reason, in the new version once you're in a war, 2-4 other countries will just declare straight up agression wars without CB. I think that's what they meant by 'harder AI'

I think it's that the mission to just attack has gotten more common. I played as byzantines, and after a couple of years of being in a war against Venice, Ottomans, Mameluks, some new dark blue neighbour of the Ottomans and Morocco declared separate wars on me. One after the other, and without casus beli. There's no way of finding the country in question in the game iirc. EU is pretty good in the sense that it's quick to tab up and down, so you could just wikipedia it ![]() It does annoy the crap out of me though, if you for instance want to form a country that already exists (Spain for instance), and you need to find and eliminate some random colony they have in the middle of nowhere.

Too true. It happens way too often that you've pretty much won the game after 150 years, regardless of difficulty. Does anyone know how to zoom in without a mouse? My 110 dollar steelseries sensi piece of shit just broke down for no reason, and I'm left with my touch pad an a burning lust to play eu3 :/ My only problem is that I can't zoom in. Does anyone know?

Ive only played once, and believe me, even if i did learn about the country of "Bar" way back in school, I sure as hell didn't remember it. And that would also probably be history, not geography. Either way, it gets easier the longer the game goes ![]()
