Mexico players are playing pretty dirty though. And California is such a failure state... wtf is up with more mexico fans than usa fans in the stadium. Are you kidding me? If you take a simple look, you'll notice USA is the one who's playing dirty here. Thus far, Donovan is the first player to get a yellow card. Plus, Americans seem to like to ride on Mexican's backs whenever the ball is rolling out on their part.

OK. did you see donovan's yellow?! it was completely accidental and purely sold by the Mexican defender, he pulled his own heel back so it would hit Donovan's foot. He was not even remotely phased by it, it was an incredibly soft foul. Also. Mexican player straight up kicked Adu in the face, intentionally, when Adu was on the ground, then stared him down like he was a champ.

Because Southern California has a huge Latino population plus its soccer, not going to find a lot of soccer fans in Los Angeles. L.A. is a basketball town....and yes I'm from Southern California, I'm 15 minutes from the Rosebowl so I know....

Americans are just not that interested in soccer compared to football, basketball, or even baseball. If there was more interest we'd probably win a few world cups, given our enormous population and powerful economy which would make us likely to develop good players (like we do for basketball).

I agree that USA would have great players with more interest in soccer but that doesn't mean you'll win some World Cups, there is still a long way to go to be compared with Spain, Holland, or countries like that, no matter the population or economical state.

This is true, but we would definitely would perform better, we got robbed of a semi-finals appearance in 2002, and have had quite strong teams recently that have performed well in other big stages (past Gold Cups, Confederations Cups) just lacking that deep lineup that allows us to perform consistently.

You said the truth, you would perform better well said, and kinda of topic the fact that Mexico's soccer team is so popular is that it's in a way over rated by the Mexican comentators and also Chicharito so they get a lot of attention so.
