Its not really that for me personally Steve, its just that I find it close to impossible to care in the slightest when a Cammy wins a game due to every game looking almost identical and winning and losing seeming to just semi randomly come down to fairly dull stuff like what frequency of EX dives hit, what frequency of backthrow setups lead to damage etc.

If I watch different Akumas play for example, I can kinda tell the difference between them and appreciate individual players strengths/weaknesses/styles even though the character is undoubtedly also top tier. When I watch Cammy its just...Cammy.

Pretty much annoyed because id much rather see ChrisG Sakura/PR Balrog face off against Korea/Japan than a Canadian team thats mostly fairly free compared to Korea/Japan and their only chance comes in the form of a Cammy that looks like every other Cammy.

Respect to ChiRithy tho, hes obviously really fucking good.

yeah ggs to canada for sure. the team usa players choked against cammy throughout this weekend and they let that get into their heads. it is unfortunate that team usa typically has unbalanced lineups for most of the team tournaments, 2 rufus, balrog, sakura and a dhalsim, certainly an uphill climb.

USA AE is very lazy though - the top players have been at the top for so long that none of them seem to adapt well to new things that are strong. Watching them play defense against Cammy and Sakura is super frustrating, because I know they're super talented, and the dumb shit they get hit by shouldn't work. I mean, how can they all be so incredibly strong against Viper, but lose so horribly to the new caste of high tiers? Pretty simple, they have no reason to really practice this game anymore. Up-and-comers like NGL Chris are gonna change that.

Ultra SF4 is gonna be interesting, I think there's gonna be a ton of new face emerging in NA SF4

It's actually a really smart pick for this format because Dee Jay basically dictates that if you don't know the matchup, you're gonna lose. He also does very very well against Cammy

XiaoHai could probably have won with another character as well, the guy is a beast. But it's not hard to see that BonChan had to fight extra hard because of the match up.

There's nothing shameful about recognizing that.

I didn't watch the tournament, but I still don't like that the first thing people do after a Cammy wins/does well is to complain about her in a way that the character, and not the player, won.

Will try and ask this again. Did Popi beat Infiltration just because he plays Cammy?

Get someone of a similar relative skill level on Ryu and you can't just get random wins vs people like Infiltration. Post-tournament FGC tweets are going in on Cammy pretty hard. I think it's pretty clear that she's becoming an impediment for the game, in the same way as Phoenix was for vanilla MvC3, i.e. negatively affecting people's motivation to play the game. That's a problem, regardless of whether she's objectively "overpowered" or not. If Ultra wasn't on the horizon this game would be in pretty deep shit.
