I actually remembered seeing a keyboard warrior on stream @ evo lol. 2012 i believe.
No, there aren't any known pro playing on a keyboard. The closest you would get are hitboxers, and even those are very few and far between (i think cdjr uses a hitbox). The movement layout for the hitbox is left down right for the 3 fingers and thumb for jumping. Move layout is same as stick.
Thing is, fighting games wears down keys really fast (cuz you are mashing on the same damn keys all the time), and if you don't have n-key rollover on your keyboard you will get fucked. If you are gonna shell out money for a good mechanical keyboard that could last, might as well buy a cheap stick and mod the parts.

mmhh guess ill order the stick soon.
btw what exactly do the pp/bp mean? been just playing for a week and jsut now that im trying some balrog noticed that the bp are char specific.

I don't think the VS stick is worth the premium over the TE equivalents. The other two are identical outside of the art.

I just got super-confused now! DH called the player Freenoob for Freedom during the DH Summer main tournament, but not during the finals of the Swedish Championships (also held at DH Summer, vods just got up).

btw what exactly do the pp/bp mean? been just playing for a week and jsut now that im trying some balrog noticed that the bp are char specific. bp is character-specific, it's main use is to show how experienced a player is with that character. It increases relatively quickly at first, with no/minimal loss for each game you lose. There are threshold amounts past which the loss values increase (e.g at 5000bp, 15000bp) so it gets harder to increase it the more you play (most players have a hard time staying above 15000bp once they've cleared that threshold and start taking the bigger losses).
pp is non-character specific and is more of an Elo-type rating, in theory it shows you how good a player is. 2000pp is probably about average on PC. It can vary quite a lot though (I tend to average 3500pp but I can go as low as 3000 or as high as 4000 quite regularly).

does PS/2 keyboards have less ghosting?
|
As I understand it, only PS/2 keyboards can have N-key rollover (unlimited simultaneous keypresses). USB will always have ghosting with certain keys, and will have more input delay.

Cafeid just streamed like 4 hours of Bigdanmul playing ranked. I feel like my mind is saturated with information now. He's no Haitani, but that was cool.

So I just ran into my first rage-quitter in this game today.
First we played a Juri-mirror (He was C+, I was near C+), that I won narrowly. Then (s)he joins my lobby again, but this time I pick Evil Ryu (D+ there) instead. (S)he takes the first round. And I narrowly takes the second round with a series of cr.LP (don't remember exactly because...) and (s)he leaves the game and messages me this:
"Good thing you didn't dare play Juri, or I'd be even easier"

Get a mechanical keyboard. Cherry MX Black switches are practically made for quick double-tapping and accuracy, though you might prefer Red switches if you have a lighter touch.

I praise everyday that Sakura jFierce is getting all the attention away from Makoto jFierce which is equally bullshit. ;d
But anyway, enjoy the grind against a top Cammy Steve. I'm not yet to the level to profit from that but it's definitely a big occasion to level up oO Tell us how it go !

Since TeamLiquid already has a DOTA2 team,
When will TeamLiquid get a Fighting Game team?
