I have, but to be honest I don't remember whether it recognizes analog. I tried testing it just now, but for some reason it's not recognizing my controller at all. The PS2 to USB converter is relatively cheap though, if you want to test it out. If I had to guess, I would say the answer is no, because most games do not recognize third-party analog sticks. You're better off learning to play on D-Pad anyway since it's faster and more precise.
it should work. you just have to configure it correctly. also, make sure the analog light is on lol
Building a gameplan with Viper is so weird. So many of her tools ( specially the feints ) seems to be designed to beat on players who know what they are doing. I'm having a really hard time keeping my offense going on someone who have no idea ( not even mashing DP ), and doesn't quick rise the burnkicks. =/
Has the tournament been worth watching? I have almost solely been tuned into Summer Games Done Quick, and I've mostly heard bad things about VxG on social media sites.

What? Did you even watch the games? Shit was hype!
PR Rog has made such huge improvements over the last year. He's taking his character to the limit.

I'm a casual viewer, I didn't catch every match, and I don't mean to downplay the skill of the players at all -- I really enjoyed PR Rog's games. But overall it felt more like a WNF situation.
Yeah, it's cool to see a Balrog vs. Guile in the finals. I've only played about 500 games online so far but it makes me a little bit sad that I haven't seen a single Balrog, Chun-Li, Dhalsim, Honda or Guile player yet.
I've been thinking about picking up a new character when I get back from vacation. In most games I'm usually a defensive, calculated player but when I started with Street Fighter IV I picked up Makoto because, well it looked cool kicking the shit out of people but she probably doesn't mesh too well with my playstyle. Any tips on a couple of characters I should try out with that kind of style?

Dhalsim, Guile, Sagat, Juri, Ryu are the staple zoning characters. Honda, Zangief, T. Hawk, Balrog are good at sitting on a life lead, but have to take some risks to get there.

Its too easy to develop scrubby habits while playing her because vs lower and mid level players she does kinda allow you to turn your brain off and put people in the blender. when you fight someone who knows the matchup and is confident in their gameplan you will hit a wall until you get some more advanced fundamentals down
and for DP FADC, the down-forward input at the end of the motion may count as the first forward in the dash as long as you're still holding that direction when you hit mp+mk. then you can just tap forward for the dash
He's coming to Alberta Beatdown 4 (as is Combofiend), I'm gonna throw down some cash and see where I stack up. I'm interested to see how I do, cuz my character knowledge with Cammy is really strong, and my defense against her with my other main is really strong as well. I'm not the sort to get spooked by divekicks.
I'm gonna money match Combofiend's Oni too, cuz we've got a really strong Oni here (Confirmed by the Dutch team at Canada Cup 2012 that our Oni is better than any from EU) and you gotta know what the fuck to do vs Sakura with him or it is a nightmare lol
Right now, I think I can beat Combo's Oni, but I think I'd lose to Kbrad. We'll see!
Oni is sorta gimmicky and you have to keep the following in mind when you fight him: - Step kick is slightly negative (hits early) or neutral (hits late) - Kara throw range is pretty good - f+hp at max range is -4 but pretty safe - Slash resets - Cl.mp has a godlike hitbox and stays active forever, really good frametrap tool - S.lk is super amazing and stays active even longer and is an even better frametrap tool
Yoooo you should be able to cancel Shoryu into antiair demon. Pick em up with the Shoryu and get a full super out of it :o Buff that in Ultra Capcom let's go. Apparently Tatsu is cancelable into demon, but does that combo??
