If you have GameStops near you, you can try seeing if any of them have MadCatz WWE All Stars Brawl sticks in stock. It's doubtful since they've been at the clearance price of $20 for a long time now, but it can't hurt to look.
If that's not an option, you can get a budget stick like this, but I'd advise against it - the MadCatz cheap sticks are moddable, but ones from other makers such as Hori or Mayflash are worse in quality and less moddable, should you choose to graduate to a better stick.
Just about everything past the budget price point is a high-quality stick using Japanese parts. For example, the Soul Calibur TE was $70 on Amazon last week and is still $80 through today from the Evo promo. Outside of a couple of Soul Calibur-specific idiosyncrasies, it's identical in quality to a $160 TE. You can find comparable sticks at a similar price on Craigslist or the Shoryuken trading section.
For more information, read this sticky in the SRK tech section.

it may be not necessary for gameplay but imo it increases the fun factor a lot.

I don't agree, I'm having tons of fun playing with my laptop's keyboard

You can use a pad, keyboard, hitbox, etc. and still play at a very high level, but when you walk into an arcade you'll get bodied. I know from personal experience lol.
Just start with a stick from the get-go, it's less pain and suffering in the long run

I'm playing this game to have fun, not to become a competitive pro (programming takes power from you). And I'm so used to paying with mouse and keyboard anyway so I thought why not use it here as well?
And I don't care if that happens to me. During my first (and so far only) tournament, I had barely touched the game at all :p

That's bullshit honestly. There's characters where using a keyboard is downright superior to using a stick. Why do you think people are using the hitbox?
Most of the cast is perfectly playable with a keyboard. It's unusual and personally I'm having way more fun with a stick, but it's not a disadvantage by any means.

He said an arcade, which means arcade cabs. You're going to have to use stick there whether you like it or not.
It's a fair point, but unless you're planning on training in Japan, it's not really a big deal whether you can play on arcade cabs or not.
I would love to tune in for a Wednesday Night Fights or something similar and see someone roll up with their mechanical keyboard with Cherry Blacks, plug it in, and throw down.

Yeah, right, sorry i missed that. He said he's just going to play to have some fun so that means online warrioring to me.

Yeah, people definitely do that. It's more common than hitboxes, to be honest.
Sooooooo .. is it me or is the matchmaking totally broken ? how come when i have 500pp I end up against people with 1200/1400 .. that's bullshit. It's either I win pretty easily against people behind me, or I get perfected every round when I begin to win like 2 matches in a row..
I know you can't get better if you don't play against better players but this is to the point that it's disheartening ><
There isn't enough players online at a given time for matchmaking to work the way you think it should. and honestly theres not much difference between 500 and 1200PP
I didn't even know Street Fighter would be at WCG, since WCG has become such a joke lately. Is it only open to Koreans, or some chance for other SEA players as well?

considering it says 'korean national finals', i'm pretty sure it's the korean qualifier for the grand finals.
My local arcade is going to let me organise weekly street fighter meetings on the weekends. Guess it's time for me to start playing again . Any dutchies, feel welcome to come to Tilburg
