Heh, I got my hardcore summoner necro to lvl 86 act 5 hell without using teleport once Then I went AFK for 10 minutes when fighting Baal and that was the end of my hardcore career (I forgot he summons those tentacles from the ground).

Sure it works without but the ability to stomp strong enemies with teleport is too powerful. Also good for skipping areas ofc.
|
I don't skip areas any more. Going for 100% map completion is more fun for me.

i go without teleport most of the time on non-sorcs HC fine!

Can't wait for resurrected... So many things to try out!
I might do something slower at the beginning to take in the views and enjoy it. Passivezon might be the way, slowly and steadily plowing through everything with 3 pikes

Anyways I still think it's a lot of investment with open outcome and if you play SSF it's a bother switching up your build a dozen times depending on what shields you find or don't find. You just increase the gear and stats requirements by a lot and how much you actually need really depends on what you find.
Like assuming you socket insight on lvl 70 and before that go 1 ene per level to sustain your mana requirements without drinking pots every 5 seconds, you also need ~2 strength per level for monarch. so if you go 2-3 dex which you need for spirit max block you basically get 0 vit per level. Even without the ene per level it's maybe 0.5 vit per level, I can't really see that paying off especially because IIRC you can't block most spells and these are more likely to hit you.

Does "wealth" actually work? +300%gf is very noticeable but +100%mf is invisible. Nothing seen at act5 nightmare und act1 hell. It is important that only the char kills monster or his necromancers can kill aswell?
|
MF works, but is only noticeable in high quantities (300%+).

However your mercenary will have yours+his own, this can be handy to keep in mind when killing a Super Unique.

wtf suddenly diablo arrived in act1 hell at den of devil??? Never seen before that.
|
|
it was a black one like nightmare diablo. I wanted to clear den of devil, then he appeared and killed everyone in one move. My Summonmancer lvl68 has no chance to do alone.
any runewords possible with demon heads?
|
MF actually has diminishing returns past 100%, and actually even before that. https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Magic_Find Uniques will still be rather rare, but it's worth it. You don't really need a lot of MF but having some MF is pretty important. However it's still possible to do well without MF especially using runes of which the drops aren't affected by MF, and you'll still get unique stuff etc.

You can disable clone in plugy config if its disturbing your play.

%GF literally adds %GF while %MF raises 'chance' of higher quality drops. So 100%MF doesnt necessarily has to feel like it drops more uniques or rares but it does. Also Magic items (blue) dont have diminishing returns so 100%MF gives you 2x amount of chance for blues. You should definitely notice more blue drops if you compare 100 dropped items to another 100.

Difficulty Hell is highly confusing me with grey labeled items (for runewords) and other stuff (like gear for my merc). I haven't seen a "guide" about that. How does look the strongest grey labeled polearm for example (the one which requires 210STR)?. When are armors with 400 or 600 defense dropping?
edit: finding high runes (Dol and above) are incredibly hard and requires a very very long playtime. "Wealth" is the only one above lvl30 runeword I have despite two 70lvl chars and both playable in hell act2. I have done ~50 countess runs at nightmare and hell and the drops aren't great at all. I have plenty runes till shael and then two Fal. thats all (after Wealth).

Yes to find more socketables (white) you should definitely play without high amount of MF.
Strongest elite polearm for socketing (insight or infinity) would be Cryptic Axe (ethereal version (+50% dmg)). http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/polearms.shtml
It has 165 str and 103 dex requirements.
Cryptic Axe is Quality Level 79, if we look up Treasure Classes around that level we find Cryptic Axe belongs to Treasure Class (TC) 81: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Weap81
If we then go and look in Hell Act1 for a Monster Level around lvl 80-81 what do we find: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Act_1_Summary_(Hell)
Lets take "Hole Level 2 (Hell)", "bighead3" monster, monster level 81: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hole_Level_2#bighead3_.28Hell.29
Its TC is "Act 5 (H) Cast A", continue down the tree towards the items "Act 5 (H) Equip A": https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Act_5_(H)_Equip_A
Here you find this monster can drop "weap84" and "weap81" which is the TC you are after that includes the Cryptic Axe.
As you can see not all monsters can drop the same TC's and this is by game design. Most fixed monsters have a set TC that is lower than regular monsters that spawn, that for example can drop the higher TC's in comparison but with a very less chance of doing so.
If you look very closely here: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Act_1_Summary_(Hell)
You will notice "Mausoleum (Hell)" have monsters with level 85. And if you click "skeleton1" for example, "Act 5 (H) H2H C", "Act 5 (H) Equip C", you will then see "weap87" and "armo87": https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Weap87
Its the highest Treasure Class in the game, meaning they can drop all items and you didnt even need to go to Baal (Hell)
If you are too weak you could farm items there.
As for Colossus Voulge (str 210) as you mentioned its from: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Weap66
You can get this weapon beginning from: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Act_5_Summary_(Nightmare)#Worldstone_Keep_Level_3_.28Nightmare.29
I.e doing Baalruns in Nightmare.
As for armors: http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/armor.shtml
Dusk Shroud is a favorite and can be found in NM Baals as well: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Armo66
Edit: About your question of runes. MF doesnt affect runes (i.e type of items picked) but only affect quality of an item. Different runes are only in different TC's, meanwhile MF only affects the quality of an item, Higher quality rune of a rune doesnt exist, there is only one version of a rune. Rest higher tier runes are in different TC's each, where higher tier runes are picked only if you get to a higher monster killed for that TC to be picked.
If we take Nightmare Chaos Sanctuary 'Doom Knight': https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Chaos_Sanctuary#doomknight3_.28Nightmare.29
"Act 5 (N) H2H A", "Act 5 (N) Good", "Runes 12", it can drop "R24" as highest rune.
https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Rune
R24 would be IST.
The best way to find higher tier runes is to make a mass killer char that can mow down monsters the fastest. More monsters the better until that TC is picked and a rune drops.
As for Countess, shes special. Here is her TC: https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php?title=Countess_(N)
When killed she has 50% chance to choose either an item or a rune "Countess Rune (N)" (This is Nightmare btw).
In "Countess Item (N)" her regular rune chance exist if that is picked, this will be a higher tier rune than her special rune drop mentioned above.
R16 = IO , is her highest from her rune pick.
And from her item pick R18 = KO.

thank you for detailed information ... but I wont looking into this, way too complicated and time consuming. I think this can be done easier like: Cryptic Axe (TC81): Drop Location: Hole Level 2 (H), Pit level 1 & 2 (H), Crypt (H), Mausoleum (H), Underground Passage level 2 (H) and Secret Cow level (H).
I have never seen etheral items with sockets. Is there a cube recipe or I have to use the quest from act5?
|
Ethereal has 5% chance to be added to the item at drop. This is also true for Uniques, they can also be ETH. The ones with Indestructible mod cannot get it.
There is no recipe for ETH no, but there is recipe for sockets so you could try socketing an eth (grey) weapon.
http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/cube.shtml
About being done easier, the reason you cant list locations is because there is a quirk. Monsters who are minions get +3 monster level and by so also get upgraded TC level when they pass over to another TC.
