i recall playing ogame like 5 years ago when i was a teenager but i don't quite remember how it exaclty worked 1. does real money-funded shit really make a difference? (i refuse to play online games where real money-purchased items make a huge difference) 2. i remember all the events being time-based. does it force you to come back to the pc many times in a day or can you succesfully set the events so that, even if sacrificing some production time, you can send all the orders simultaneously? 3. (and most importantly) can you go anywhere playing alone? i like playing by my own, being independent... i don't really care about making it big, i just want to have a decent rate of success having not to ally someone or asking for someone's mercy. i just don't want to have abusers rapin ma colony every 3 days... is there some kind of protection for this abuse? extra question: what server to join? jupiter is the most recent one, so jupiter, am i right? thanks in advance. i will be very very grateful if you answer my questions. i'm dying to play this  | ||

2. Your fleets can all be launched at the same time, so you don't necessarily have to come back to the pc many times a day. However, you have to start buildings one at a time, so its a bit more of a time investment for the first 4 days or so. As buildings take days and weeks to build though, you can make due with checking twice a day or so. 3. Most of the game is played alone honestly. There are lots of ACS hits, but its entirely possible to be self sufficient. As long as you fleetsave and have adequate defences for overnight resources. The alliance is on Jupiter, very limited anywhere else. | ||

What really helped was when someone (name was Wilsky or something) decided to send about 500k in an even split of metal/crystal/duet to my planet on accident. He asked for it back but I had all of 3 small cargo ships. Wooo! | ||

Agreed on the life-suck... which is why I didn't join, but now I started this stupid iPhone game called War 2 Victory (iOS port of browser game Dawn of Nations, very similar to Ogame)... oops, the plan to not waste my life on Ogame backfired T.T | ||

im in different alliance atm :/ thinking of joining you, if theres room?? (just started playing SC2 again after a few months off, so would be cool to be with like minded peeps) rank 270 atm, about to coliniz my 7th planet with mines on all planets 23/21/14/24.. | ||
