There were moments where Barca players could have done something similar. They got a foul against but no card. Should probably be yellow. But the difference is Pepe didn't pull back. The two Barca players I remember both pulled back when they realized they were too late.
Also, I don't understand how people dare to compare possible career ending tackles with diving. Craziness.
It seems the people that are Madrid fans here are bone breaking loving football fans. Well, there's probably no sport where more legs are broken, so I don't really know to which sport to direct you.
I really hate the culture around football. Damn hooligans.
Someone just posted a GIF above of a Barca player doing the exact same thing to Xabi Alonso in the Cup game. Mascherano swung his leg at Pepe's knee earlier in a fashion that would have done significantly more damage than had Pepe connected with Alves, yet Pepe dodged it (and rolled around like a Barca player) - where are the reds for Barca players? You claim to be a neutral yet ignore all evidence contrary to your opinion, refuse to acknowledge anyone else's points (while mocking them for not responding to yours). Where are the red cards for Barca players? Why are they treated differently?

Maybe I was a victim of overhype when they said "THESE ARE TWO AWESOME TEAMS". I mean overall it was mostly players pretending to get fouled and one maybe two moments of mad skill. How in this modern world of lightspeed communication does this sport not use action replay for game changing decisions? Then the players might play football and act less.
Then I got sad that this is the most popular thing on the planet.
Watch some English games. It's a much better spectacle, most games are hard fought and fairly balanced even when the top play the bottom. And it's in your backyard, no excuses!
It's no use trying to argue with Spanish Barca and Madrid fanboys.
There was a red card. It was disputed. I disputed the dispute with arguments that were ignored. Personal attacks were used. Dishonesty and lame debating tricks were attempted.
Maybe you Spanish people should finish off your civil war first, t hen play soccer matches. Maybe that will cool down things in the pitch for future games.
When Spain was about to play 'our' Dutch squad in the WC final with tons of Barcelona players, people in Barcelona wanted them to lose. So far goes their fanboyism.
And you people demand I argue neutral with you people? Your parents kept the criminal Franco in power for so long. Ask them about Franco first. Then criticize me for arguing to get rid of bone breaking career ending tackles
That's part of the risk when you are a player with a reputation like Pepe. In close calls, referees are going to remember his reputation and not give him the benefit of the doubt. I would say he was at least going for the ball but he was also straight legged and made contact below knee and above calf it looks like.
When it all happens so fast, (the collision looks very rough on first sight), players like Pepe are going to be at risk for their past.

Idk who this is directed at... but i would say you're a step or two out of line on this one. Your seriously gonna attack a countries history? C'mon man.
As far as i have seen there hasn't been any personal attacks in the last few pages. Maybe your taking things a lil to much to heart? I mean obviously people disagree but that doesn't mean it has to come to insulting a whole country.

you have NO fucking clue what you are talking about. please shut the fuck up.
The civil war had nothing to do with Cataluña, and the Cataluña nationalism has existed for centurys before.
I would argue with you, but there is no point, you are just an ignorant shit that thinks he knows what he is talking about
Please ban this idiot, politics (specially politics 50 years old) and soccer dont belong together
P.S: And no, people in barcelona didnt want to loose the World Cup, event if its only because they believe they almost alone won the world cup

Get over yourself, Barca players do the same things - except they don't get punished.

Franco and the civil and Cataluña has a lot to do with Barca vs Madrid hostilities. Also first read the thread. I argue on a simple tackle and I become a victim of the Barca vs Madrid hate. I don't accept that.

Asking for a ban is against the rules

I saw many interviews with people in Barcelona that said exactly that. They were playing under the wrong flag so they had to lose.
Read the thread before you get wrongfully angry. I am the victim here. Not you.

No. Different direction, different height. Ball was on the ground.

And Buscuits didn't get anything for his challenge on Alonso. Pity refs are not omniscient eh?
Though I also feel compelled to note what you posted is not exactly the "SAME EXACT SHIT".

Eh im sorry did you just bring out a clip from an entirely different Match? LOL What a cheap way to make a point. I could put a fuking compilation of Madrid's dirty play im addressing specifically the last Classico games.
Here: Not punished

Mourinho has succesfully trolled your brain, nicely done sir

No, you are not arguing a tackle, you are talking about a fucking war in a soccer thread. And the civil war started for totally different reasons. The post-opression might have something to do with it, but all the hostility comes from the kingdoms of Aragon and Castilla.
I only asked for a ban because I dont know how to report, I would have done that.
Oh, and you saw 5 people saying that in interviews, ok. Not gonna keep arguing with you, but maybe people believe what you say, and god knows you have no fucking clue.
I as a neutral person can't comment on a foul because it was committed by a Madrid player. I have to 'prove' I am actually neutral by also saying something bad about Barcelona.
I don't accept that. I don't accept your silly Spanish political feuds.
And then when I call a spade a spade I am the one that makes it political? Come on!
It worries me how 1 man can influence people's mind to a point where they don't even think clearly. I don't know if its the blind fanboyism or the fact that Guardiola is too respectful and rarely talks about this stuff, which someones pisses me off since if no one calls Mourinho out on his bs people are gonna start believeing it.

Elbow from Messi to Ramos?

Video? We can't judge if you dont provide it. Its a fact that players use their hands to protect the ball in a natural way. Players do this all the time. Thats your best rebuttal for Barcelona "dirty" play? If it is like this for example:
Its a yellow, or even a red card.
And after all this and MORE ( Arbeloa karate kicking Adriano in the balls comes to mind) Mourinho complaining " why we always playing with 10 menz " Is he out of his mind? he NEVER looks at his mistakes just blames the others or the referees. Thats how its always been and always will be. Can't believe Madrid supporters are buying his bs
Personally i'm starting to dislike Mourinho more and more. The man might have some good tactical play, but he turns his team into real haters. I don't know if you remember when he used to coach Chelsea, but under his coaching the players were a lot more aggresive and short-minded, as you can see with the the madrid players atm. It seems he is more into bantering and playing the bm mind games then giving football some nice quality games. Imo if he would stick to a rich football style that relies on fast/wide combinations and high pressure, madrid could surely take the game with all the talent that they have (thinking of people like Benzema, Kaka, etc)
Anyhow, i'm happy that barcelona won, they were the better team overall and with the foul play seen, they surely deserved the win. Madrid can call themselves lucky with only 2 exclusions for next match (Pepe & sergio ramos)

Mourinho : "Why can't Barcelona win without scandals, like I did with Porto? "
Barcelona goal not allowed. Handball? "(2) the player did not deliberately touch the ball but the ball hit his arm & he did not move the arm toward the ball (however, if the player's arms were in an unnatural position such as above his shoulders or sticking out to the sides, then he should be called for a handball)."
No.
Dont get me wrong Madrid is an amazing club with rich history im not bashing them but Mourinho on the other hand ,Its almost laughable what he says , this guy is the biggest hipocrite in the world.
